"Hey! That's enough!" I land just in time to see Steve intervene. He slips the shield back on his arm as I settle in one of the trees on the side of the medium sized clearing Tony and the blond haired man had created.

The long haired man looked familiar....

Steve jumps to the ground, and says, "Now, I don't know what you plan on doing here."

"I've come here to put a plan to Loki's schemes!" The blond haired man cried, sounding enraged.

"Then prove it." Steve challenged.

"Put that hammer down."

Oh snap. This was getting REAL.

"Uh, yeah... No. Bad call. He loves his hammer-" Tony was cut off by the blond man smashing the hammer into his chest.

Tony flew backwards and landed near the base of the tree on the far side of the clearing, parallel to me. I was sitting in a tree behind Steve.

"You want me to put the hammer down?" He yelled, making me jump. Oh SNAP! Something was about to go DOWN!

Thor leaped into the air, hammer raised, ready to smash Steve's face in. Oh crap.

"Steve!" I screamed, scrambling out of the tree.

I ran forward, hoping to get there in time to.... What exactly? Save him, possibly. But how?

Turns out I didn't have to worry. Steve crouched to the ground and raised his shield above his head. The hammer fell on the shield, and to my surprise, the man was flung back by the sheer force.

I was knocked on my back, painfully landing on my lucky shoulder. I swore lightly under my breath us I picked myself up.

I walked over to the three men, arms crossed, feigning an annoyed expression.

"Are we done here?"

We watched Fury lock Loki in his glass prison from a series of screens. "Compartment secure." Agent Hill intoned from her station. I rolled my eyes, breathing a bit extra air out of my nose.

Lets just say that Agent Hill and I didn't really get along, and leave it there.

"In case its unclear, you try to escape, you so much as scratch that glass," The hatch beneath Loki's cage opened, wind whistling and filling the room.

"30,000 feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works? Ant, Boot." Fury says, pointing to Loki then the big red button in turn.

Loki chuckles. "Its an impressive cage, not built I think, for me."

I zone out after that. The blond haired man, who's name I learn is Thor, Dr. Bruce Banner, Natasha, Steve, and I are all in the command room. Tony, somehow, is missing.

I pick at a little dried blood in my wrist, wincing as I move my right shoulder too much.

"Let me know if real power wants a magazine or something." Fury says, turning away.

"Wait!" Loki exclaims, drawing my attention back to the screens.

"Actually, I do want something." He says. Fury stops, and walks back a bit the way he came. "And that would be?"

"To speak to the human you call Shay."

All eyes land on me as I furrow my brow in confusion. "Why?" I ask aloud, irritated. Fury pauses, then nods. "Fine. I will send Agent Elrend in to see you." I roll my eyes and sigh in frustration.

"Nat, can you pop my shoulder back in place before I go?" I ask her, getting up. She nods and stands.

"Don't scream."

"Why would I-" Natasha jerks my shoulder roughly. I feel my shoulder pop back in place, but not before an incredibly non-friendly word slips from my mouth.

Bruce chuckles slightly, while Steve's eyes widen in surprise. Thor just looks confused. "What is a mother-"

"Don't say it!" We all yell.

"You might not like to know." I reply.

"Ms. Shay." Fury says, walking in. "You're up.

"Ms. Shailene Elrend." Loki says, looking up as I enter. "That is I." I say, trying to mimic his tone and accent. He raises and eyebrow and gives me a look. "Please don't. Its an extremely terrible imitation." He said.

I shrugged and walked up to the glass cage, arms crossed, legs spread. "You wanted to speak with me." I state. He nods.

"Yes."

"Why?"

He sighs, and walks up to the glass, getting as close to me as he can from inside his glass prison. "You interest me." He says.

I raise an eyebrow. "How so?"

"You're different from the other mortals that my brother has come to love." He says. "You do not seem as petulant as they, nor as feeble-minded or weak."

"Thank you?" I say, my voice lifting at the end. "I'm not sure if I should take that as compliment."

"Why wouldn't you?" He asks me, looking generally curious.

"You just basically insulted my entire species." I say. "Again, I'm not sure if I should take it as a compliment."

"But, getting back to the point. I don't think you asked to speak to me just to feed me your bullshit compliments." I deadpan. He chuckles. "Yes, quite different." He says to himself.

"You've got quite a mouth on you, Agent Elrend." He turns back to look at me with piercing blue eyes, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable.

"I long to feel them on my own." My eyes widen as he continues. Did he just, did he just hint that he wanted to bloody kiss me?!

"I wanted to offer you a deal, Ms. Elrend." He says.

"Be the queen for my new empire. By my queen, by my side, when I rule this precious Earth." He says.

"I want to wed you." He says, pressing up against the glass. "I want to be the first and only man to ever bed you, to be the first to see you wake every morning, to be the only one to hold you and to kiss you, and taste your sweet flesh and that sharp tongue of yours." He says. His eyes bore into mine, and he gives me a creepy smile.

"Please say yes." He grins again, wider and even creepier.

"Um, no." I say, my face contorting into a look of disgust.

"That, was the most creepy ass bullshit I have ever heard in my entire life." I say. "And that's saying something, I've met Tony Stark." I say.

"You will be mine!" He yells after me as I hurry away from the room.

"Whether you choose to or not!"

I run back to the command room, my face a mask of total and utter disgust.

I burst into the room, and run right into Steve, who's coming out of the door. The whole team, plus Director Fury, are standing behind him.

"Shay, are you alright?" Steve asks, helping me up

"Lady Elrend, I apologize for my brother's behavior." Thor says seriously as I stand. I give him a smile. "No, you have nothing to apologize for. But can I ask you a question?"

"Of course Lady Elrend." He answers solemnly. "I owe you that, at least."

I take a breath and ask, "Are all Asgardians as creepy as hell?"
