Being dependent is okay is some ways. With a child and their mother or with a rose bush and a gardener, these are acceptable. However, as a 15 (16 in a week) year old girl to friends and a relationship? That may result in minuscule independence. I would know because that's what I've been diagnosed with. By a doctor? Not quite. However, it was given to me by people that care or in the past tense- cared. The problem with losing sight of what you can do with yourself, is relying too heavily on the ones who are in no way obligated to take care of you. Yes, your friends may help you but that should not mean they constantly need to be there to hear every cry for help you have. Dealing with situations as a single person can show you how things really are. I'm hoping this book or really, diary, will help you and myself find a way to better ourselves. We should also take the chance to prove ourselves to ourselves and no one else.
