I met him at the end of middle school. He was the boy that didn't follow the rules, everyone noticed him. Why he talked to me I'll never know. Through the end of middle school and then into high school he was my best friend. We hung out, talked about everything under the sun. Everyone told us the same old cliche saying that a guy and a girl can't be just friends but for years that is exactly what we were. He had girlfriends and I had boyfriends. We all hung out, it was no big deal. Or so we thought. Closer to my senior year of high school, he got really weird. He didn't want me to have a boyfriend, or friends that weren't him for that matter. Honestly, I didn't really think much about it. Around Christmas time in 2008 he invited me to a concert. A couple other friends were going so I figured it would be fun. All through the night he was acting kind of weird and I tried not to think much on it. A few days later his sister informed me that he thought of that as our first date while I thought it was a group of friends hanging out. Five days later he picked me up from school. We were on the road for maybe five minutes before he pulled over suddenly. I was worried something was wrong. He looked at me with the most emotion I had ever seen from him. I still remember his exact words, " I will move the moon and the stars to make you happy. Will you be my girlfriend?" I immediately started crying and asked him to let me think about it, he was my best friend and I didn't want to jump into anything. I finally told him yes and it was fantastic, at first.
