7. Simon's Office

April's POV

After the call with Niall I decided I would go see him and Simon, only because it's most likely about my baby.

I walked back into the living room where my grand mum and Alex sat.

"Mummy? Who was that?" Alex asked.

"It was daddy. We have to go see him. Maybe you can meet your baby sister Reese" I said. He smiled.

He always wanted younger siblings but I'm still scared about the father thing.

"Awe darling you have to leave so soon?" My grand mum asked.

"We'll come back to visit later on after we meet with Niall, I'm going to see Daddy" I said.

"I haven't told him I had a child yet and I feel bad" I said.

"Well dear, your father doesn't live in the same address but here's his new one. He has other kids now so don't be surprised" My grand mum said and got a piece of paper and wrote his address.

" Say bye to Great grand mum" I said.

"No dear. I feel old being called that. Call me. Great grand. It suits me better" I chuckled and kissed her forehead.

"Bye grand" I said. I grabbed Alex and left.

****To Niall****

"I'll meet you at Simon's office."

Niall's POV

April texted me saying she'd meet me at Simon's office. I went upstairs and opened Megan's room.

She has a hospital bed and it has the monitor.

"Megan; Reese and I are going to Simon's office. I love you. Have some sleep now." I said and kissed her cheek.

"Yeah I will." She said in a low voice. Her face was looking very pale. She had gone red. I didn't knew what was wrong with her but this happens sometimes.

As I was leaving the room the monitor started beeping and it was long and wasn't stopping. I touched her nerves and they weren't working. Then I shook her but it didn't helped.

I quickly called the doctor and he came in just few minutes.

The doctor checked the nerves and after few seconds he gave me a "I'm Sorry" expression.

When i got confirmed of her death, I literally died of the shock. Megan was a great girlfriend. She was always with me during these 3-4 years.I feel bad because now all I can think about is how I finally have a chance with April again.

I called 911 and they came quick. They put her body in a bag. Told me they were sorry for my loss and then we went to a nearby graveyard and buried Megan's body in a newly built grave. When we buried her I couldn't believe that Megan was gone for ever, leaving me here all alone.

I went back home and texted Simon of Megan's death and told him I would come to him later.

*Few Days Later*

I went back home from work and grabbed Reese and walked to my car. Today we have to visit Simon. The poor child doesn't even know her mother is no more with us. My life has gone down hill and I don't know how to fix it.....

I arrived at Simon's office and went inside.

"Good morning Niall. You know you're way to his office" The front desk lady said.

"Thank you" I said. I walked to the elevator and got in. I went to the top floor and went into Simon's office only because his assistant told me it was okay. I sat Reese down next to my chair and waited for Blake.

10 minutes later April came in with a sleeping Alex on her hip.

"Ahh. So this is the famous April Greens?" Simon asked.

"Yup. The one and only" She replied. She sat down in the other chair and put Alex on her lap. He re-adjusted himself so that his head laid on her left boob.

"So after all of this stuff with the media. I've decided- and only if April is up to it- you will be his fake girlfriend" Simon said.

My mouth opened then closed and then opened again.

"For what reason??? Simon I can't. Megan just died recently, and it would be difficult for me to play the situation" I said. A tear slid out of my eye.

April looked at me with her mouth open.

"Oh my.... I am so sorry about what I said. I would take it all back if I could. I just.... I'm so sorry about Megan." She said whispering the last part.

"No.....No it's alright." I said.

"Okay back to business" Simon cut in.

"Now if you are his fake girlfriend then you will get paid. You guys will be together for 3 months then you can decide if you want to go on with your relationship or if you want to break it off" Simon said.

"And for what reason I am going to be his 'fake' girlfriend"? April asked.

" To solve the problem which is prevailing outside this room because Niall has to build his career and your speech will simply lead to Niall's destruction!". Simon explained me, angrily.

"I'll do it if he says yes" April said. Surprising me.

"O-Okay" I said.

"Great since this Megan thing just happened I'll give you 2 weeks until the fake dating needs to start" He said.

April and I both nodded our heads.

"April just sign these papers and you are a part of Modest and Syc." He said.

He sounded as if he was signing her as a artist. April signed the papers and Alex woke up.

"Daddy?" He asked.

"Hi buddy" I said. He frowned and looked confused but then he looked at Reese and smiled.

"Baby?" He asked me and I nodded. I got Reese out of her carrier and Alex hopped off of Apeil and ran to me.

Reese looked up at me with her light blue eyes. She opened her tiny mouth and yawned. Then she giggled.

"Hi baby" Alex said as he carefully climbed onto my lap.

Reese started to move her arms around and make the cutest noises. I smiled and I looked at April. She was looking at Reese, Alex, and me with a sad smiled. Tears brimmed her eyes. She turned her head when she noticed me looking.

"Alex c-come on. Let's go see grandpa. We'll see daddy and the baby again tomorrow." She said. She stood up and grabbed Alex.

"I'll call you tomorrow" She said and then left.

Well today has been a weird day..............
