Prescott's POV
It's been a month now and the kid is about as good as I am.Ive learned a lot about him.His name is Jace ,he's 16 ,and he shares a house with his best friends. We both decided this would be our last lesson ,but we'd continue to talk.He said he might join a local gang.I support him in anything ,but I also told him the consequences of his actions. He understood ,but still wants to do it.
He'll be joining the Reapers as soon as he proves himself on the track.Anything below 3rd place ,and they won't take him.Hes been training his ass off on the track, spending all night to early morning there.
I gotta admit the kids good, but he could be better.Thats not my job though, my job was to teach him not make him the best.
I sat down by my window looking out into the trees.Trees were all that I could see for miles and miles.Well besides the new rode leading out to the gates of my house. It was about 10 miles to the gate ,so I practice my speed on it.
Leaving the view of the window, I decided it was time for me to clean the house again.Im not one of those people who just hires maids.I can't do that , too much risk that comes with it.
I grab my cleaning supplies ,and start with vacuuming then mopping the floors.Turning on my headphones to the max I finish mopping then clean the kitchen.Rubbing down stainless steel counters till you could see your reflection in it.
(A few hours later)
I finished cleaning then took a short nap.I check the time it read 6:30 I decided to grab some food.I grab the keys to my Corvette ,and head out.I drive past the track where Jace was training. His car was speeding down the road trying to beat his old record of speed , but failing to do so.
I drove up to McDonalds grabbing two meals from the drive thru.I cruise up to the track ,and park my car at the garage.Getting out I grab both meals ,and head over to the side lines.
I put down the meals on the gravel road ,and waved my hands in the air hoping to get his attention.
After ten minutes it worked, he pulled over to me.I leaned back on the bounties that they installed with the track.Though it looked abandoned there was still races every week.
Jace rolled down his window ,and got out smiling slightly when he saw me.
"Long time no see Blue"He said smirking.
"Not long enough, you still haven't beaten your record".Frowning for a split second and turning awake he looked up at me."I know"He sounded on disappointment.I looked up at him ,and gave him the meal.He looked confused at first then sat down on the road with me.
We chatted a bit longer I told him how he could get better and beat his record.I watched him race for about an hour ,then he finally got the hang of it.He beat his record over and over again.
I drove home with a empty bag of food ,and a soft smile on my face.Knowing I helped someone felt good.Maybe I didn't help him in the best way ,but I know I changed his life.
I pulled up at the gates to see them destroyed. The metal all bent up with them wide open.I drove up cautiously knowing that anything could happen at anytime.
Once I got to the house I knew immediately who it was.I laughed a little Then went inside welcoming the guests.
