Two and a half months later...

A quiet drive home...

The cool feeling of the window against my temple.

I had just been released from rehab for my "pill problem."

Actually both Hailey and I just got out.

We spent about three months in a rehab facility.

Our moms became friends again and decided it would be best for the both of us.

Long sleepless nights, RA meetings, therapy sessions...it was pure hell but at least we had each other.

Now we're closer than ever, just like old times.

"We're here." My mom pulled into the driveway of our new house.

She moved after sending me to the facility.

I got out of the car and grabbed my bags from the back.

"Your room is upstairs, first door on the right." She said as I followed her inside.

I looked around my new home.

It was nice but I knew I wouldn't feel safe.

"I made some meatloaf, want me to heat it up." My mom asked as we entered the kitchen.

"I'm okay, I'm not really hungry." I went to head upstairs.

"Wait a second." I turned to face her.

"Here you go. New number and everything."

The sight of the phone made me tense up.

"And here's your old one. In case you want to look at the messages or transfer your contacts." She pulled out my old one from a nearby desk.

I hesitated to grab them but eventually did.

"Goodnight mom." I headed up to my room.

"Goodnight sweetie."

The steps squeaked as I carefully walked up them.

Everywhere I go I'm super cautious about, you never know what can happen.

I entered my room automatically heading over to lock the balcony and windows.

I didn't like my room at all, there were to many ways to get in.

Even though Dun- he is dead I still don't feel safe.

I opened my old phone to see I had messages upon messages.

I just ignored them, heading to my bathroom to take a shower.

When I got out I dried off and changed into some pajamas.

*Ding*

The sound still made my heart drop into my stomach.

I picked up my phone slowly.
