Cameron woke up with paramedics surrounding her. She had wires connected her chest and her shirt completely off. They were all talking to her asking her a lot of questions. Her eyes wandered over to her night stand where the box still sat. "Ma'am what is your name? Can you please tell me when you were born?" Cameron's attention went to the female paramedic who was looking at her with concern.

"My name is Cameron June Slater. I was born November, 27 1999." The confused girl stated. The female paramedic smiled at her. "What's going on?" One of the paramedics stuck a blood pressure cup on her completely ignoring her. "Where are my parents, and who are you?"

The female paramedic still with a comforting smile on her face took a deep breath. She prepared her self to answer all of these questions.  "Well Cameron my name is Nicole. You were running an extremely high fever and passed out so you parents called. You will have to come to the hospital until we can get your fever under control. Your parents are outside your room talking to the lead paramedic and his name is Mike, so we know the whole story."

Although there was a lot going on around her and there were many loud noises it was like she could hear Nicole's voice clearly. "I feel fine." Cameron stated with a reassuring smile. The female paramedic looked at her and smirked. She had heard that one a million times. The thing about this time is Cameron really did feel fine. Yet how was Nicole suppose to know that.

Nicole patted Cameron's leg lightly. "Well I hope that's true. If you get better by tonight you may be able to go back home tonight."  They started moving Cameron down the hallway carefully. Her eyes caught her mother who was crying and her father who gave her a reassuring smile.  Cameron was always healthy she had never been so sick she had to go to the doctors or even the hospital for that matter. It was understandable why her mother was torn up about this.

They finally arrived at the hospital where Cameron was put in an ER room and was given time to change into a hospital gown and make her self as comfortable as possible. The nurse showed her how to work the remote and if she needed anything and how press the call button. Her mom sat next to her not taking her eyes off of her. Her father sat next to her mother  who tried to break the silence. "How are you feeling? Any better?"

The auburn haired girl looked at her father and gave him big smile. "I honestly feel fine!" Her face was still sickening pale. "Mom, you over reacted I was just tired and fell back asleep." Her mom looked at her confused.

"Cammy I tried shaking you. I was yelling your name. You weren't sleeping."  Her mother grabbed her hand. "Do you remember what happened?" Cameron thought hard but she couldn't remember anything. All she remembered was hearing a dark voice.

"Yes, I remember." She lied. She gave her parents a big smile. "You guys should go eat something I bet neither of have had dinner. I'd honestly like some time to myself. Like the nurse said the doctor will probably take a while." Cameron's mother gave her a look like you are insane. Her father fixed his glasses and coughed a bit.

"She is right honey, let's go eat. She will be here when we get here. The nurse has our numbers if something happens." Her father stood up and took his wife's hand before leading her out of the room.

Cameron eyes roamed around the room until they landed on the table next to her where the box sat. She picked up the box and took a deep breath. "Why do you keep following me?"  She stared at the rusty lever as if it was calling her name to crank it. She held the lever and ever so slowly started to turn it. She hummed to melody pop goes the weasel. Once the song had reached it climax the lid flew open. Nothing seemed to happen though. She laughed at her self. "This what you were afraid of? A box that does nothing!" She laughed again.

"Yes, a box that does nothing. But what's in the box may surprise you !" A voice whispered in her ear. The voice left chills going down her spine and making the hair's on her neck stand up. A loud laugh filled the room.  Cameron was paralyzed with fear she was unable to move anything. "Someone shouldn't have let the box open." The voice echoed through the room.

Cameron finally able to move again jumped up and looked behind her. A tall man almost ten feet tall with shoulder length jet black hair . Feathers that laid on his shoulders. He had black and white coned shape nose with eyes as white as snow. Yet his eyes were different shades of white where his cornea was. He had beautiful eyes that filled Cameron's with fear. She observed his black and white outfit. His skin was white with a grayish tint to it.  "W-who are you?" She asked shuffling her self to the far side of the small hospital bed.

He grinned showing is sharp teeth. "Me you ask?" He asked. He had his hand on his chest almost acting offended that she didn't know who he was. His eyes gazed around the room. "Well Cammy," He said mockingly to her, "I am Laughing Jack. I am here to rip you apart piece by piece and pull your organs out and make them into balloon animals in front of you while you take your last breath." His grin was growing bigger and bigger. "You are so beautiful now you will be gorgeous  when I am done with you." He said running his claws through her hair. "Now I will be gentleman and let you chose where I should start."

Cameron looked at him full of fear. She then quickly turned her fear filled face into a smile. She grew up learning to turn the negative to the positive. "Well Mr. Jack, if this is what will make you happy I would prefer you start with my knees." She instantly regretted saying that but the clown stared at her grin less. He had a completely blank expression.

He leaned close to her. "You realize I am going to kill you in the most painful way ever. You will experience a pain unimaginable. I will rip you limb by limb and make you watch. You will feel every little thing." She nodded her head. He usually could sense fear but she wasn't showing any kind of emotion she just had a big cheeky grin on her face. Now don't be fooled Cameron was so scared, she felt like she was going insane so she went with her gut and smiled. Laughing Jack went down to her legs while examining her body. He looked at the collar of the hospital gown then noticed the girl was just making eye contact with him still having a big smile on her face.

"Well?" She said staring at the clown down by her legs. "Please do the honor. Kill me and make it an unforgettable experience!" She said enthusiastic.

The man stared at her. His eye twitched with annoyance. "You really want this?" She nodded again her smile even bigger. "Then no! I will not kill you! You will not win you little brat!" Jack yelled at her. The room filled with her laughter. Her's more soft and sweet and innocent laugh unlike jacks. He stared at her not amused. "You find this funny!"

She laughed even harder. "You are a really funny clown! You try to be scary but you aren't! You must be the reason I am in the hospital in the first place I presume." The clown glared at the girl and growled crossing his arms.

"You will die! And it will be the most gruesome death in the world." The Clown said. The girl quit laughing and stared at him. Her smile faded and she stared at the clown intensely in his eyes. "Let's play a game."
