Beautiful nightmare

Aga was busy with his phone when TJ approached him with a cup of coffee she made for him.

"Busy naman ng dad ko." He smiled at her and put his phone down. "How was your day, princess?" it has always been a habit to ask this question. She smiled.

"Remember the new friend I told you about? Yung nakasabay ko sa enrollment? Classmates kami dad! Buti na lang talaga kasi may buddy na ako."

"Just don't fall for him.." TJ blushed. "Dad naman eh! Kasing gwapo mo kaya!" he smirked and she knew he has something to say.

"Ay, mas lalo kang mag-ingat! Looks like mine can easily catch hearts! Baka ma-fall ka tas masaktan ka kasi meron palang iba."

"Buti si mom yung pinili mo 'no dad?" she smiled, he was taken aback. Si Lauren nga ba talaga yung pinili n'ya? Siya nga ba yung minahal n'ya o si Lauren ba yung 'nasaktan kasi meron palang iba'? he realized, what he actually said was meant for him.

"I got to go. May meeting pa kasi si daddy, princess. You take care here okay?" she nodded and fix his tie. "Be back home okay?" she reminded. "I want you here, dad. I want you to stay where you're supposed and destined to be."

What if where you're destined to be is not where you are supposed to be?

"Sir, currently po wala pa po kayong major activities sa schedule n'yo aside sa team building natin one week from now. After, 1 week later, you do have an out of the country trip. Aside from that sir, wala na naman po."

He looked at his pen, lost with his own thoughts. "For today.." he murmured that his secrtary didn't quiet heard. "Pardon, sir?"

"A-ah. Ano, may gagawin pa ba ako ngayon? May meeting pa ba?" he's been spacing out the whole day. "Wala naman na po kayong scheduled for today. Yung mga paperwo—"

"J-just send them sa bahay." He immediately stood and left his office.

I should at least try.

You should at least try to talk to Lea. You saw her. You saw Lea with another guy and admit it, Aga it pained you still. It was his inner voice that he heard and he must admit, yes, he got hurt.

I should at least try.

Try what, Aga? Talking to her and then what? Why will you be talking to her, for what? To be in the same complicated relationship again? To ruin and hurt her again? To ruin you family over and over again? To ask for another chance? Or to be brave enough and ask her for the closure you've always needed from her.

I want her back.

Does she want you back? She has let you go once. Do you think she'll allow you to be back in her life? Would she still want to be your option, your second choice, your mistress again?

She has let me go for a reason. I can make ways.

Exactly the point, she has let you go for a reason. And ways? What ways? Ruin your relationship with Lauren again? Make her your option again and ruin her life? You know exactly for a fact that she made a decision to let you go as a sacrifice to save your relationship with your wife then why in the hell would you do something stupid again?

I can do everything it takes to have her. Kaya kong tiisin lahat. Kahit ako pa ang maging option at second choice n'ya.

He was so busy arguing with his inner voice that he himself thinks he's getting crazy. And he didn't notice how he came and found himself in front of her law firm's building contemplating whether to go and see her or just back out. He misses her badly but he remembers, she's happy now.. with someone else
