I drew my last breath as, everything around me stayed still. A vapour flew out of my mouth and into the cold air. My spirit gracefully left my body, overlooking everything. I closed my eyes one last time, loosing the glow in them as, my shadowy figure rose onto the dull walls. My body was soon losing heat and becoming as cold as stone. My spirit hang over my lifeless body.I flickered through the deem lights, and took one last look at the world before me. Tristan glazed down at the floor. A single tear dropped on the floor. ''Goodbye Megan,'' He choked and whispered to the empty room, ''I'll always love you.''
Tristan stood up from beside my bed, trying not to tear up. The door creaked a high-pitched, screeching sound. Tristan touched my dark ash-brown hair, that glimmered in the light. It looked like silk and it cascaded down past my shoulders. He touched my forehead, then my cheeks, finally touching my chapped lips. I glazed over watching everything in slow motion as, two nurses leaped to my bed, shoving Tristan away. From up here everything looked peaceful.
Finally Tristan left my empty, shell. Bead of sweat roll down his forehead, as his steps echoed along the hall. Getting quicker and quicker. He finally got into the car. I remember laughing about how rusty and old that car was. ''Why? Why wasn't it me?'' Tristan sat inside, shaking. ''It's all my fault!'' No, it's not your fault. You can't blame yourself for what happend. Shaken from hearing my voice Tristan jumped from his seat. ''Now I can hear Megan's voice, even better!''
After the long drive home Tristan walked through the front garden. He looked at the plants. Now they are brown, faded by the summer's last sun no lushness or sparkling emerald to be found. Tangled webs of spiders and overgrown weeds like the confusion in my brain. Tristan dashed into the house. Shadows crawled up the thick walls as,Tristan's footsteps echoed across the dusty oak floor, leaving a trail that would likely never be discovered. He opened the wooden door, an eerie sense of stillness and abandonment crept in.
Tristan lay on his cloud-like bed. He stared deeply into the gloomy window, over looking the burnt out city. The mist over the dry ground. Tristan turned away as, the dull moonlight hit his pale face.I snuggled up next to his warm body. He closed his sore eyes, falling asleep instantly. My ghost like body watched on him, making sure he wouldn't end up like me.
