She had a sister.

Had.

She was everything Yu had. Everything she cared for, everything she loved. Everything.

The mercilessly poured down but she doesn't feel it. All she heard was the thumping of her heart against her chest, ragged breathing, hands trembling; her legs could barely support her weight. She wanted to scream and cry, grab on her sister's...body.

But she didn't.

She thought she would cling on her like she once did, coo her name in her ear and ask her to play games with her. "Yuu, do you want more pudding?" she always had one extra cup for her so she'd eat and play with her at the same time.

But she didn't.

She'd visit her when she was still at work, no matter how busy she was, at least she'd spare some time with her. Pudding wasn't her only favorite; ice cream cups filled her trash can to the brim. It was unhealthy but she didn't mind, it was from her after all. She had to work overnight again; she hoped she'd visit her tomorrow again.

But she didn't.

She locks herself in the bathroom, looking at herself at the mirror. What was wrong with her? Why was she always left behind? Why her? Her knuckles bled but when she was about to grab a shard, the door smashed open and small arms wrapped around her frame, begging her to stop, to calm down. They both fell on the tiles; she'd cry it all out with her sister soothing her to calm down. She wanted to hear her calming voice once more.

But she didn't.

Empty alcohol bottles scattered around the floor, her hair in her hands, her face pale, she wasn't able to eat properly for weeks. Some of her friends would visit and ask her to at least eat food they managed to prepare for her. She'd shake her head; she didn't want it she told all of them. She'd like to see if she'd come back and snap her back to reality.

But she didn't.

She remembered.

They had a fight; she told her she wanted her out of her life. She ran out of the house, shouting at her how selfish she was, how inconsiderate she was. She ran away with tears in her eyes, her scarf blown away by the wind. The scarf in her shaking fist. It was the only thing that was left in memory of her. She didn't attend the funeral. She didn't want to see the face of her sister, unmoving, that smile wiped off her face. That smile wiped off because of her, because she didn't care after everything that had happened. She lost her promotion, lost her significant other, lost herself and especially her sister. She didn't want her gone, she didn't want to see her blood on the concrete along with her limp body, a car with its headlights still on, the driver apologizing but the more he was there, the more he despised the situation. He had a party to go to; heck he had his new girlfriend waiting and he didn't want to waste his time there until he saw the face who was staring at the dead body in front of her.

"Mayuna, I'm so so sorry."

"I didn't mean to run over her."

The ambulance and its employees along with the police took over the situation but she just stood there, behind the crime scene, behind the yellow tape that separated her and her sister.

She wanted herself gone. She wanted to join her sister, apologise and start all over.

But life wasn't fair, she had to face reality again, she'll be hurt over and over. She accepted that fate.

But not the fact she just lost the remains of her only family and not at least get one more day with her.

She wanted the god to bring her back.

But they didn't.
