I paced in my trailer, muttering monologues and humming several songs while Sadie Lyte, my best friend and agent, sat on the couch in front of me. Sadie has been my closest friend since second grade.
"Okay, could you stop mumbling and sing already?" She said after five minutes.
"Yeah. Um. Ahem." I forced myself to stop pacing and cleared my throat.
"I saved every letter you wrote me..."
"Hold on, hold on. You're singing 'BURN' for your audition?" Sadie interrupted. "Don't you think that's a bit of a heavy song for an Eliza audition?"
"Um...Yeah. That's why I'm also singing 'Helpless'."
"Okay...Go on." She said, settling back down.

Audition. I'm on in ten minutes. Freakin' nervous.
Five minutes.
I'm on.
Goodbye, time for me to kill myself.

"My name is Dianna West and I am going for Eliza Schuyler, or Hamilton." I smiled slightly. "So...I'm singing 'Burn' and 'Helpless'."
"Cool." Said whoever the hell the lady was. "After your audition, Ms. West, you'll meet some of the cast to know more about this musical."
My heart jumped.
The audition went in a blur because I was distracted with the thought of actually meeting Anthony Ramos.
