A/N: (Holy skittles. I don't do these because I don't say anything constructive.) Colorful child new chapter, happy???????

I walked back to my room and turned my music up, as loud as it could go before beginning to look for my nuclear physics textbook, particle physics textbook, black backpack (still packed with my things for when I would disappear for days), my shoe box (filled with pictures and stuff from when I was younger), my black sketchbook, my black three subject note book (filled with math problems, ideas and short stories).

After successfully locating my things, I collapsed onto my bed and attempted fell asleep.

I got up and shut off my music and the banging continued, “Hang on a friggin minute!” I yelled. The banging ceased as I walked over to the door and violently yanked it open. “What?” I asked a very frightened looking Seth.

“I... I um... I heard you talked with Ian and Kare. I wanted to know how it Kara and Ian went.” he said as I walked back over to my bed and laid back down.

            I laughed, “They're creepy.”

“How?” Seth asked, walking over and laying down next to me.

“Apparently they're glad I'm finally here and they've been waiting for me,” I said.

            Seth laughed, “Oh?”

I nodded, “Although they did tell me something interesting,”

            “What's that?” Seth asked.

“They said, you think I'm pretty,” I said.

Seth flushed, “They said that?” he asked. “I don't know what they're talking about.”

            I laughed, “Who are they?”

“Kara's dad was this guy named Carter Burton. When Kara was five, he slit her throat and cut her voice box, so she couldn't talk anymore,” Seth said as my eyes widened. “Ian's the Captain's kid. His mom died a few months after he was born. A few years ago, Ian learned he has an older sister and he's been trying to learn about her.”

“That's horrible,” I said quietly. “If I ever meet Kara's dad...”

Seth chuckled, “I'm guessing you like Kara.”

“I talked to her for like five minutes.”

            Seth laughed, “So... yeah?”

            “Yeah,” I said, laughing.

Seth grinned at me, “What about Ian?” he asked.

“Nobody better mess with him either,” I said. I paused, “So... I'm pretty?”

Seth shoved me sideways and we both laughed, “Yeah you are,” he said after a minute.

I pushed Seth back and hid my blush. Seth laughed and pulled my pillow out from under my head. I grabbed another pillow and smacked Seth, who hit me back. We kept hitting each other and laughing, until Seth fell down onto the bed.

I landed on Seth's chest and we both kept laughing as we looked around the room. My hat was on the floor and my hoodie slid off my shoulders. I looked over at Seth and laughed. His glasses were askew, his hair was a mess and his face was flushed.

“What are you laughing at? You look a mess.” Seth said.

“As do you,” I said, reaching over and fixing his glasses. “Better.”

Seth ducked his head and flipped his hair before standing and saying, “Want to go watch some mind numbing cartoons to kill some brain cells?”

I thought for a moment, “Sure, I could stand to lose a few brain cells,” I said.

Seth laughed and held his hand out to me. I took his hand and he pulled me up, before quickly letting go and walking over to the door. I grabbed my hat off the floor and followed Seth as he walked out the door. Seth and I walked to the living room, where Trip, Kelsey, Amber and Justin were sitting.

“Hey Pretty Girl!” Trip said, tugging me down onto the couch and tossing an arm around my shoulders.

I laughed as Seth sat on my other side, “A lot of people seem to think I'm pretty,” I said teasingly, making Trip laugh and Seth flush.

            “Shut up,” Amber snapped.

“Don't be rude,” Trip said, poking Amber with his foot.

“You're getting as bad as Justin,” Kelsey said.

I looked over at the TV and grinned, “Whoo!” I said, “Doctor Who!”

Trip and Seth laughed and Kelsey smiled as Amber and Justin stood and left the room.

“Oh... Uh... Okay, Bye!” I yelled to Amber and Justin as the door shut behind them.

            “Sorry about them,” Kelsey said.

I shrugged, “No big deal,” I said before looking over at Seth. “This is not the mind-numbing cartoon I was promised.”

Seth shoved a pillow in my face, “Shut up, the Doctor's talking.”
