Lucy delicately trotted her way through the small town, known as "Riduele", the ground beneath her burning the bottom of her bare feet, but didn't mind it. She was used to the sun, obviously from her gorgeous, healthy tanned skin. The sun rays came down on her, reflecting off of her glowing skin and long golden blonde locks that flew behind her from the breeze.
She wore a light pink shoulderless long sleeved silk crop top, along with a pair of soft white short shorts. She didn't bother with a pair of sandals, even if it was somewhat hot out.
She flipped her hair away from her face, her locks reaching down past her waist. It was a one of a kind, some people said that there was even a hint of a light rose gold shimmer to it, but they didn't know why of course.
Only Lucy knew, but she'd reply with a gesture of agreeing that it was a gifted color. She didn't want anyone to suspect even the slightest thing about her.
Her fingers reached up to her golden locket, smiling as she thought of her mother for a second. The locket was connected to a long, thin golden chain to form a necklace, a special gift her mother had given her when she was just a small girl. It was one of the only momentums she had of her dear mother left, and she cherished it everyday.
A young man around her age, one she knew very well at this point, greeted her with another cheesy, but cute pick-up line. Once again, she turned down the gorgeous brunette, lightly smiling as he shook his head. It was a daily thing, and the young man's name was Roy. He was handsome, but it was always a routine for the past four years. Everyday when she was outside, he'd say another corny joke to grab her attention.
As she walked, she waved to almost everyone who passed, she'd come to know just about everyone here. Many knew that she loved to be outside, so there wasn't any harm into greeting familiar faces.
"Miss? Would you like a drink? It's very hot outside today." A man politely asked, standing next to a barrel filled with ice and water bottles. A couple other men happily stood next to him, kindly offering her.
Lucy shook her head slightly. "Ah, I think I'm good at the moment, thank you though." She smiled and kept walking past the three men, who were probably a few years older than herself.
As she walked past, she didn't notice the second glance one of the men gave her, eyeing her for a while.
"You think she's the specific girl the boss told us about?"
The man nodded. "She separates herself from the others, she's ain't gorgeous for nothin'." The three glanced back at the beautiful blonde who was almost out of sight, strolling away happily.
After about fifteen minutes, Lucy found herself finally alone by the oceans tides. Her toes sank in the silk smooth sand, feeling the light breeze cool herself from the scorching rays. She glanced around, making sure that the only things she saw were the trees rustling lightly. Taking a seat, she dipped her toes into the water at first, but let herself relax and dip her feet in.
Nobody's here, it's okay. Lucy reminded herself as she saw her feet glow a blinding light yellow after a minute, then seeing the very tip of a shimmering pink tail instead. I wonder if there's any other people like me in the world, much less living in the water where they belong.
The gorgeous rose gold color sparkled from the sun, a smile growing on Lucy's lips. She always wanted to meet someone of her kind, wanting to know if it was as dangerous to be half human as her father explained. Her fingertips dug into the warm sand beneath her, enjoying every second as time passed. Everything was peaceful at the moment, it was picturesque. The light waves bobbling up above the waters surface, the cool breeze, how the sunlight glistened off the waters in every direction. It was breathtaking to see how beautiful this place could be.
