There is a little girl called Sarah. She is a good little girl, and she always does what she is told. One day her mother says she can go for a walk in the woods. So she takes a basket to put flowers in, goes out the door and down the lane that leads to the woods. She comes to the woods and she goes in. She walks a little ways and stops, for there is a little patch of primroses just here. She bends down to pick some, but before she has even touched one, she hears a wail. Now this is not just any kind of wail. This is a serious wail. It is so serious that Sarah thinks it might be her best friend just after breaking her leg our something. In fact, it sounds so much like her best friend that she thinks it is her best friend, crying out in pain like that! So she follows the wailing sound and soon finds what is making the noise. It isn't her best friend at all! It is a gigantic, humungous lightbulb! It is crying away like mad, but as soon as it sees Sarah, it stops. It says, "I was crying because I had no food. But now I do." "What?" asks Sarah. "You," says the light. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" screams Sarah, and she flees, and runs all the way home.
