I sat in my crappy room, deep into my comic book. The sun shined through the closed curtains, and I couldn't have a care in the world, at the moment. Until, my door opened, and three boys from the orphanage came inside.

"Hey prissy pants! Whatcha readin'?" He asks, in a mocking tone.

"U-u-uh my comic-" He slaps it out of my hands before I could finish my sentence. I adjust my glasses and pick the book back up off the floor. They snicker as they watch me continue to read, and ignore them.

"Attention all children. Please come down into the main office, for an adoption choosing." The boys rush out of my room in a flash, while I slowly put my comic book away, and walk downstairs. There were five boys standing there, looking pretty happy if I say so myself. They're defiantly in their teenage years, but one looked like maybe he was in his early twenties.

"Alright. You may choose a couple to interview." They glance up and down the line, and I keep my head down.

"Boys? Come 'ere for a second." They're British too, which was a bit weird because we're in Colorado. They all huddle, and decide quickly, before turning to face us and announcing.

"What's his name?" One asks, pointing at Daniel Mccullin.

"Daniel."

"Oh. Uh, the one in the X-Men shirt. Yeah, him." My head snaps up from it's position. Me?

"Maxwell, please go with the nice boys." I step out of the line and follow them into the "interviewing room".

"Hi! I'm Liam, and this is Niall, Louis, Harry, and Zayn." I smile and sit up straight.

"Hi!" I cheerfully say.

"I like your shirt dude." Zayn says.

"Thanks." I reply.

"So. What do you like to do?" Niall asks.

"Um. I like reading comic books, and I play a little basketball. I also play baseball." Liam nods and smiles.

"That's cool. Do you know who we are?" I smile.

"Of course. Doesn't everyone know who you are?" I laugh and push the hair out of my face.

"Good point. Are you comfortable to talk about how you got here?" Liam asks. I shrug.

"My parents just didn't want me." I shrug. They frown.

"Oh. I'm sorry." I wave them off.

"It's fine." I reply.

"So. How would you want to be our little brother?" Niall asks. I grin.

"I'd love to!" I say.

"Good. I'll tell Mrs. Tedson." We all stand up and walk out of the interviewing room, and into the parlor.

"We've made our choice." Harry says.

"We'll be bringing Max home with us." They all said.

"Jinx!" Niall says.

"You all owe me four sodas!" Niall says triumphantly.

"Bye guys!" Harry says. Then, something I've been waiting to do my whole life happened. I got to walk out that door.

"Let's get going." Louis says.

We pulled in the driveway of a house. At first I thought I was going to walk into a mansion, but then I realized it was just their simple home.

"How do you like it?" Zayn asked. I smiled widely.

"I love it." I reply, stepping out of the vehicle. I adjust my batman hat, and shove my hands into the pocket of my jeans. I follow the boys into the house and stand around them.

"Lou is going to show you to your room, while I sign you up for school." Liam says, smiling. I nod and follow Louis up the stairs. They lead me into a room that was painted blue, a bed, and a desk with a small computer on it. I unzipped my suitcase, and started unpacking.

"Let me help you with that mate." Louis says, pulling out a pile of shirts.

"Thanks." I reply, shyly. Five minutes fly by before Louis started asking me some random questions.

"So how long had you been in that dump?" He asks nicely.

"Actually, about my whole life." I reply, folding a Wolverine shirt.

"You must really like superheroes, don't you?" He asks. I nod my head and smile.

"They're pretty much all I have." Just as I say that, Liam slips into the room.

"How are we doing in here?" He questions. Louis turns his head and smiles, before closing the suitcase, considering it was empty.

"Fine. We just finished unpacking." He says. "I'm thinking we should get him some more clothes, and stuff for his room." He says, winking at me. I chuckle.

"Sure! I'm going to run down to the school and apply Max." He glances over at me. "I'll be right back." He walks out, and Louis sighs.

"Come here." He says, walking over to the desk. I follow him and watch him open up a drawer from the side. From there, he pulls out a cell phone. I only had seen a cellphone because of the ladies at the desk back in the orphanage, and those weren't half as nice as this.

"We already put our numbers in there." He says, handing it to me. My eyes widen, and I'm speechless.

"Thank you so much!" I exclaim. He chuckles.

"No problem. Now, I'm thinking that we should go to the store tomorrow." He says, nudging my side. I smile.

"Sure." Niall barges in the room as soon as the words fall out.

"Let's take you on a tour!" He shouts, grabbing me by the arm and pulling me into the hallway. We trample down the stairs in a hurry, and he clears his throat.

"Here is the living room." He says pointing towards a different room. I chuckle and follow him to a different room. It had a T.V and a video game lineup set and ready to go.

"This is the game room. We usually play FIFA or Call Of Duty." He says, leading me to another room.

"What's FIFA?" I ask. He stops, and turns to face me. He grabs my shoulders, and shakes them.

"You have not lived until you have played FIFA!" He says. I widen my eyes, and nod my head slowly.

"We'll play later." From my observations, Niall was pretty loud. But I guess that's how Irish people are, right? After a few minutes of showing me different rooms, we finally make it to the last stop.

"And this sir, is the kitchen. The best place in the whole house! We are stocked with food!" He opens a few cabinets, and bags of Doritos, cheese puffs, soda, Lucky Charms and all types of junk food are filled in the cabinets.

"Awesome." I say.
