"I just," She began to tell us. "I just can't let you leave if you don't promise you'll try!"
This sounded like another threat. "What do you mean you can't let us leave?" Diego asked.
"You won't leave until you promise! You won't!" She screamed.
"Okay," I nudged my friends, "then we promise. We promise we will find them. Or at least try. Then will you let us leave? Peacefully? Without a fight?" I was telling a lie, and the only person who didn't know this was Emily.
"Yes!" She jumped up and down in excitement. "You all promise?!" All of my friends promised her. She smiled and ran towards us, stopping only a few feet away. Her eyes looked like insanity itself. "I will show you the way out! Come on, then!" Emily led us through a few more hallways, in each of them she told us how much fun her and "crazy" other friends had here. She told us that they were the only ones who believed her story. Eventually, we arrived back at the place this mess began. She took us into the room, opened up the window even more and smiled as we each hopped out. "Remember Summer, to be careful. You will need the help of your friends." was the last thing I heard Emily Whites say as I dropped out of the window and landed in Diego's arms.
We all were silent as we got in the car and buckled up. Dallas asked us all to sleep over at his house about five minutes into the drive, and I figured I was already out late enough... I called my mom and told her I had been at his house with everyone for a while now, but my phone had died. She allowed me to stay over along with Asher, Aiden, Avery, Diego and Camila. We decided we'd feel safer if we stuck together, even outside of the asylum.
