"Case! There's a battle tonight down town." She told Casey. "The whole crew'll be there. You coming?"
Casey turned her head towards Sara, her best friend, and grinned. "You bet your ass I'm in." She said as she jumped down from the car boot. "Are we battling?" She asked Sara. The red and short haired girl shrugged. "Think not. I mean, we didn't really practice or anything. Probably just gonna watch tonight and have a few drinks."
Casey hummed in response.
Casey and Sara are in a dance crew. They joined for fun and partly because they love dancing. Street dancing makes them feel free. Makes Casey feel free. Especially since she had a bitch as her foster mom.
Casey works part time at Sara's brother's garage. She didn't know much about cars but she could work on tires and leaks. As long as she didn't have to be at home 24/7 then she's fine.
School is not bad but she didn't like it either. Mainly because of the teachers.
"Case?" Sara called. "You alright?"
Casey nodded. "Yeah m'fine." She paused before glancing around. "Where's max?"
Sara smirked. "He's got a date."
Casey laughed. "No way! Seriously?! I thought no boys were his type." She shook her head. Max is Sara's brother and he's gay. A flaming hot gay.
"Yeah I was surprised too. He was so picky about his type but yesterday he told me to take care of the garage since he had a date and I don't even know what he looks like! Me! His one and only sister who sticked with him after getting disowned by our stupid parents!" Sara ranted jokingly.
Sara and Max were disowned. It was only Max at first but Sara stood up for him. It's not fair that a parent would disown their child just because he is gay. So they both got kicked out the house. But honestly, Casey had never seen Max so happy.
"He'll tell you sooner or later I'm damn sure of it." Casey laughed before getting back to the car she was working on. Max gave her the car. It was a pretty old car but she could make it work with a few tweaks here and there.
"Speaking of," Sara clapped her hands once. "I was thinking about going to town today. Grover's food ran out last night. I gave him ham this morning."
Grover is Sara's Golden Retriever.
"Yeah I'll come with you. And maybe we could test out this beauty at that too." Casey told her.
Sara's eyes widened. "No way! It's up now?" Casey grinned. "Yeah. This baby is up and running. Wanna drive?"
...
The car was awesome. It was much better than Casey had expected. The whole drive was smooth. Since it's old, it makes some noises but above all, it works. Max is an angel.
They arrived at the pet store and Sara parked the car. They walked into the store while talking about the upcoming battle. Whilst they were talking, Sara suddenly spotted the dog food and rushed to pick it up. Casey was left alone so she decided to walk around the pet store.
There were cats and dogs and.. snake? That's definitely a snake.
Casey walked towards it. It was not that big but it was quite long. It looked pretty tame despite that so it must have been a snake that was meant to be kept as a pet for sure. The snake slowly looked up at Casey. He has red eyes and black scale. He was beautiful.
"Hello"
Casey's eyes widened. She looked around. No one was there. She looked back at the snake.
