The sun began to creep up over the trees as you stirred in bed. It was 5 am. You always enjoyed waking up early to watch the world wake up before your eyes. Sitting up in bed, you stretched and got up. You decided to put on a pair of shorts and a hoodie before shuffling downstairs. The house was quiet, and slightly illuminated with the light of the morning. You grabbed your car keys off of the kitchen counter, and went outside. The roads were empty, which was rare for Los Angeles, the city known for its traffic. The fog began to disappear as the sun positioned itself higher in the sky. Starbucks was your favorite thing to have first thing in the morning. You parked and walked to the entrance, as you decided what to order. The Starbucks you went to every morning was typically empty at this time, but there was a girl standing in front of you. You took the time to notice her long, flowing blue hair. It looked like cotton candy. Your eyes moved to glance at her tattoos. You were trying to make out what they were as she turned around. "You know people can feel when you're staring, right?" She said to me with a smile. She was beautiful. The freckles scattered across her face complemented her hazel eyes. "Sorry, I've just never seen anyone else here this early an-" you stuttered as she cut you off. Her eyes met yours for a second as she looked down quickly. "I like to be up before everyone else for...many reasons" You nodded as she introduced herself. "I'm Halsey, but you can call me Ashley." "I'm Y/N, and I'd love to buy you coffee." Her eyes lit up as she nodded. She found a table by the window as you carried the drinks over to her. "Is it hard? Yknow, being famous?" You couldn't help but ask. I mean, she had to go out at 5 am if she wanted peace. "Yes and no. My fans are my entire world, but I want some alone time. I can't turn them away. I look at them and I realize that these people are here for me. They give me all of the love and support in the world, but sometimes I want to go out somewhere and have nobody recognize me, and if they did, they'd be like you and talk to me like I'm just a person." You looked into her eyes. They darkened slightly. She didn't look sad, she just looked alone. "Sorry, I'm rambling." She blushed and looked away. "You seem like you don't get to be listened to a lot. Please, continue." "No one has ever really asked me to keep talking about how shitty and hard my life as a famous singer is." She laughed. The sun began to settle into the sky, and the light fell onto the side of her face. This brought out her features even more, and you couldn't help but to stare. Her blue hair sparkled, and the sunlight danced in her eyes. "You are so beautiful." You blurted out after realizing that was just supposed to be a thought. "You're pretty cute, too. I'm gonna give you my number. I mean, it's only fair to pay you back for buying me coffee."
