She had stopped going outside at moonlight. Any good it did get now had fleeted, and broken down déjà vu was in its place. It would be refreshing, for one instant, then it'd hurt, as soon as an animal would run across he path, or she'd see one, she would instantly freeze up and her mind would be clouded with memories, with these memories came a storm of pain and fear and sadness and everything she had been trying to stop. All because he was gone. If he had just listened her, none of this would have happened. There would be no sending away for heroes, no small towns, no Corporation Leading Overall Unity's Death within Society.
She pulled her hair back and looked outside. It would have looked pretty, if not for the great tree wilting just outside her window. It was horrific and hurtful and did her no good to see the tree in this condition. The tree always preferred Asriel over the brothers, and now that he'd disappeared, it seemed to weep. The wind blew against her face from the open window, calling her name.
"Valerie...Valerie..come outside.."
That was forbidden nowadays. Who knew what could be lurking out there, trying to capture their kind. Every day it grew more dangerous to be a Ground these days. But yet, they lived on, they persevered to another day. She only had to worry at night, when the moon came out and shone as bright as the south star. Tonight there was a full moon.
She had stopped going outside at moonlight.
