Going about our encampment not a near twelve miles from the border, shouts coming along;
"They're on us sir."
With gunfire following and people getting chewed in half by bullets. The next moment devastated by your own ensuing actions.
No matter how much you've killed, you'll always ask was it right...Well that was about fourty years ago. Not as if the hell hole I'm in now is any better, might even be worse.
Flights are routine in modern civilisation but damn thanks to Murphy... well let's just say I'd string him along if I could.
Like these things are stringing us up one by one.We started with just about 40 but now down to 32.
The first night just about the worst, screams echo'ing through the wreck of our plane. Smoke entirely blocking out the moonlight, leaving only the fires.Trying to free myself from my wrecked seat, I realise that I've lost all feeling in my right leg... It's just hanging there. Still pulling at the exposed framework above me, a sharp pain shot at me.
I don't know which was worse, the pain, the smell of corpses, or the limbs, torso's and faces scattered about, starring back at me as if to help'em.
What followed was even more dreadfull, as absolute silence fell over the field.
Silence before the storm they say...Not even a few minutes had passed, the silence broke by shreaks of fear.
I quickly grabbed a part of the plane's spar. A lot of good that did me.
I'm still stuck in my seat.I could see a figure in the distance, coming toward the wreck. My fear grew as they came closer, each step revealling more from the dakness. As the apparent leader stepped closer to a passenger, thrown from the wreck, he knelt down as a mother were putting her child to sleep, he drained the remaining life from the child.
Was this really where I'm supposed to die, after all I've been through?
Well hell yeah, 'cause they can't kill something that's already dead.************************************
