Fernanda's P.O.V.

I awoke to a deep haze of sunshine seeping into the room in fragments. My eyes roam lazily across the room and I manage to sit myself up. Bruno was asleep beside me in his boxers and old gray tee shirt. The soft rhythm of his breathing had some kind of effect on me. I can't help but stare at him as he laid there, seemingly vulnerable.

"What? Like what you see?" He says in a scratchy morning voice. Embarrassed that he caught me staring at him, I shrug.
"Vision is only a illusion" I reply. It was a quote from one of the few books I ever read. I forgot the book, but I still remember the quote.
"Don't go all science on me, I hate science!"
I laughed at his innocence. He sits up on the bed right beside me. I place my head on the curve of his under-shoulder as he fixated his arm around me warmly. My face fit perfectly, as if that part if his body was molded just for me.

"So, what do you want to do today?" I ask.
"Well, today's Saturday so the boys and I have a session at about 7pm. Lucero has classes throughout the day, and Jessie has to go to a family reunion at around 10am. Overall, the only people you'll be seeing most of the day is Eliza and Laila."
"Awww...so I won't get to see you?" I whine. Bruno gives a slight laugh and kisses my forehead softly, making it linger. I smile as he scoots off the bed and drags himself to the bathroom.
"We can arrange something." He says as I hear him open one of the cabinets.
I grab my phone off the nightstand and check the time. It reads 9:07 am, so Lucero must be already in her 2nd class.
Before I could do anything else, I hear a rapid knock on the door.

"You'll get it." Bruno yells quickly. I roll my eyes and open the door. Eliza has her arms crossed and a smirk on her face. She was still wearing her pjs, and her dark black hair was in a messy bun. I figured she spent the night on the couch.
"Good morning. You look nice." I say with a stifled laugh.
"Whatever," she mutters with a smile, "You don't look so good yourself."
I look down at what I was wearing. A pair of navy boy-shorts and one of Bruno's old tees weren't exactly the best match, but it was comfortable enough for me to sleep in.

"Anyways, I wanted to tell you something. I just thought you should know first." Eliza whispered, her voice becoming more serious. She turns around and I instinctively follow her. Leading me to the living room, we walk over to the sliding glass door. I watch as she turns around to glance at me, giving me a silent signal to examine the area more closely. I slide the blinds to the left and unlock the latch of the door. As I step outside onto the balcony, I almost jump to what I witness.

Phil was in shorts and asleep on one of the couches on the balcony. Laila was sleeping on his chest and Phil had one arm around her waist. Laila was still wearing my clothes from the day before and her hair was still tied up.
Both of them seemed to have the biggest smile in their face.

I am infuriated. What is this? Who gave Laila the right to sleep with my friends? Matter of fact, who does Phil think he is to feel that he and Laila are something? Ever since Laila has been here, Jessie's been telling me that Phil's taken an interest in Laila.

I never expected it to escalate to this level of affection.

Driven solely by anger, I grab Laila's wrist and pull at her forcefully. She wakes up immediately and stares at me in horror.
"You little piece of-"

"Let go of her!" Phil demands. He glares at me fiercely, but at this moment I couldn't care less. I let go of Laila and turn to face Phil.
"Go" I say to Laila without breaking eye-contact from Phil. Out of the farthest corner of my vision, I see her stare up at me then look at Phil.
"Go!" I hissed at her fiercely. I was not about to let her find refuge in Phil's shadow. She seemed to realize that as well and dashed into the condo.
