CHAPTER 25- GOING FOR AN OUTING

Mahdia found herself standing dressed in a flowing white wedding gown, this time on a beach. She felt wet sand under her feet, the waves touching her feet. Wind blowing her hair but she couldn't care. She looked around, she seemed lost. At a distance, she saw something coming towards her, she squinted her eyes for a better view. Her heart beat increased on seeing a man in white suit and yellow tie gallop towards her on a white horse. She smiled. Now, her prince-charming has a face, a gorgeous face.

She watched Ahyan climb down the horse, he walked towards her. The breeze fanned his hair, strands of his hair fell across his forehead. His dark eyes behind the rimless glasses twinkled and the hypnotizing smile captivated Mahdia.

Her smile faded when he stood inches away from him, her heart in her mouth as he held her hand and kissed the back of her palm. She blushed. He took a step closer, Mahdia found it hard to look up. He held her nape and pulled her closer, his lips captured hers in a mind-blowing kiss.

'Maddy...Maddy....'

'Huh! Wha.... what happened.' Mahdia woke up with a jolt. Mariam slapped her forehead. Her aunt was dreaming of her prince charming once again, the slight drool stood to prove of that.

'We are getting late again...'

'Oh, Shit! Shit...F***.' Mahdia jumped from the bed.

Mariam watched her aunt wide-eyed.

Mahdia just remembered that she and Ahyan had spoken last night and decided to catch up at her café in the morning and she will show him around, till afternoon because after that Ahyan has an important meeting and she must be in the café. She overslept. She looked at Mariam, and just realized she has a niece.

Mahdia literally dragged Mariam towards the bus, in hurry, she stumbled and fell. Mariam gasped and helped her stand.

'What is wrong with you, Maddy? Everyone is looking at us.' Mariam hissed under her breath, her eyes on her classmates in the school bus. Mahdia ignored her. She stuffed Mariam inside the school bus and placed a peck on her cheek murmuring 'Have a good day.' Before Mariam could reply, Mahdia turned around and briskly walked away. She kept cursing under her breath.

'F***, I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR.' Mahdia groaned picking and throwing her clothes from the wardrobe and onto the bed.

Mrs. Siddiqui came into the room looking worried, she became more worried when she saw Mahdia clad in a white towel and throwing clothes from inside the wardrobe. Mrs. Siddiqui suggested she will help her decide, Mahdia looked at her mother and pouted, 'Yes, please.'

Mahdia walked up to the mirror and looked at her attire- full sleeved black wrap top, navy blue tight jeans.

Mahdia gave her mother thumbs up. As she blow-dried her hair her mother left the room yelling about breakfast. Mahdia nodded her head though she hadn't heard her mother. The excitement of meeting Ahyan is making her restless. She applied red lip gloss, kohl and combed her hair. She tied half of her hair with a loose half bun. She slipped into her brown knee length boots and wore a grey sleeveless shrug. She applied a generous amount of perfume. She is satisfied with the final product.

'Aren't you little over-dressed for work?' Mrs. Siddiqui eyed her daughter as she sat breakfast with her.

'Who, me?' Mahdia pretended to be innocent.

'Yes, you?' Mrs. Siddiqui raised her eyebrows. Mahdia shrugged and with her mouth full she said, 'idontknow.'

Mrs. Siddiqui watched her suspiciously.

'Hey!' Ahyan looked up from his laptop, a woman in her early thirties stood beaming at him. He maintained a straight face as he didn't know her.

'I am Lydia. Mahdia's friend and employee.' She stuck out her hand introducing herself to Ahyan.

'Hello!' Ahyan greeted her politely, they shook hands.

'Where is your friend?'

'He is my assistant. And he is sick.' Ahyan tried hard to not smirk. He recollected how earlier today he had ordered Kumar to venture out alone or if he wants to stay in the hotel and prepare for their meeting, he can. Kumar didn't look happy, he was excited to be with Mahdia and his boss, and explore the city.

'Oh, and what are you doing here?' Lydia eyed the laptop briefly before turning her gaze back to Ahyan.

He smiled, 'Using the free WIFI.'

Lydia felt her heart flutter too, Mahdia was not kidding when she had warned her about Ahyan and his deadly smile. Lydia shook her head reminding her that she has a boyfriend, yet she can't stop having a small crush on him, Ahyan.

'Hey!' Mahdia came and greeted them. Ahyan stood up as she stopped at his table. Lydia covered her mouth to hid a smirk.

'Hey!' Ahyan said.

Lydia sneaked behind Ahyan and gestured Mahdia to hug him. Mahdia's eyes widened and she quickly shook her head.

'All okay?' Ahyan asked confusedly. He glanced back and Lydia quickly fixed her expressions, she smiled at him. Ahyan frowned.

'Nothing, just a minor neck pain.' Mahdia said massaging her nape. Ahyan looked at her concerned.

'Oh!' he said sounding little disappointed.

'Don't worry, I am fine. It is not that bad. You sit and enjoy your breakfast. Then we will venture out.' Mahdia said brightly. Ahyan nodded.

'What a catch.' Lydia winked and nudged Mahdia as they made their way back to the workstation. Mahdia blushed lowering her gaze.

'Look, Maddy. Don't hesitate, okay. Today is the chance, kiss him. Okay.' Lydia advised Mahdia as she combed her hair. Mahdia's eyes widened, Kiss.

'Isn't it too early?' she asked.

Lydia rolled her eyes. Mahdia gasped adding after a thought, 'What if we kiss and I get pregnant?'

Lydia blinked at Mahdia as though she is from outer-space, only a person from outer-space can only talk like this.

'Are you for real?' Lydia gaped at her. Looking at Mahdia's expressions she began laughing. Mahdia felt offended, what wrong did she say that is so funny?

'Please babes, who said you this?' Lydia said in between her laughs. Mahdia frowned, she felt defensive.

'Once I caught my brother and sister-in-law kissing, on the lips, next day they announced they are having a baby.' Mahdia said grumpily.

Lydia held Mahdia's shoulders and began laughing hysterically, 'You are so innocent, babes.'

After laughing for some more time, Lydia stopped laughing and started doing Mahdia's hair again. Mahdia had her face puffed up in anger.

'Maddy! People do more than just kissing on dates. Things that can actually get one pregnant but since this isn't technically a date so just spend some time knowing each other.' Lydia said seriously. Mahdia nodded her head looking at Lydia in the mirror.

After Lydia was done fixing her make-up and hair she took a step back and admired her. Mahdia looked at her reflection, impressed. She parted her hair dividing them into two and placed them on her shoulders.

'You have an amazing body, Mahdia.' Lydia commented as she looked at enviously.

Mahdia beamed running her hands over her curves, resting her palms on her hips she looked at her reflection with pride.
