Mason got me some water. I drank it with pleasure.
"When were you going to tell me you had part if your leg amputated?"
"When you got over the fact that I was home to stay. I did it so you wouldn't be as worried as you are now."
Hmm... I guess that makes sense.
"But I can handle it! I just... um... needed some water! Yeah! I just needed some water!"
He doesn't buy it. If we're being honest here, neither did I. I just don't enjoy seeing him in pain. It kills me seeing him like that.
What time is it? Oh no!
"Mason, I'm so sorry but it's already nine. Make yourself comfortable. Your room is the same as it was when you left. I have a boatload of homework to do and I have a huge Social Studies test tomorrow."
I lean down and give him a hug.
"Ok. Hollar if you need me."
I smiled
"Goodnight Mason."
