Karmen ^^^

~~~
Agnes couldn't believe her eyes.
His blond hair was spiky, and his athletic stature showed off muscles. His face was that of puzzlement. His hands fiddled with a solid silver chain around his wrist. Royal blue eyes radiating wonder made her heart flutter.
"Kyle...?" Agnes's face was mirroring Kyle's perplexity, "What are you doing here?"
"I'd be asking the same for you," Kyle responded.
"Hold on a second," Karmen's seemed more baffled than anyone,"You know each other?"
"Yes," they answered in unison.
Awkward silence. No one spoke for a while, until Karmen registered what happened and explained.
"I see now," she started, "I get it. Agnes, you and Kyle know each other from somewhere, probably school," she directed her voice to Kyle, "Agnes is my friend. She saved my life twice actually. I met her when she was Shapeshifting one day, we even battled."
Agnes was shocked. How could Karmen just blurt out her secret to Kyle? She opened her mouth to speak, panic bubbling in her, her throat cinched tight.
Karmen saw what Agnes was doing. "Don't you worry. Here's the big thing," she looked at Agnes reassuringly, "Kyle is a Shapeshifter too."
What. On. Earth. Agnes thought, shaking her head. No way. No waaaaaay. Could there be even more Shapeshifters out there?
As if reading her mind, Karmen spoke. "I found Kyle a day when he was trying to control his power. I helped him settle down, and then educated him about it. I called both of you today to meet the Silver Eagles."
"Silver whaa?" Kyle asked, an expression of what-on-earth-is-happening.
"Silver Eagles. A team of Shapeshifters. We protect the earth from the harm, by Shapeshifting. I'm apart of it," Karmen explained.
Four figures stepped out from between trees, popping out of the shadows. They all had serious faces, and weapons—crossbows, swords, machetes, katanas, and more. Their leader was, surprisingly, a teen about the age of Agnes. He had silver hair and fair complexions, and bright grey eyes.
"This is Devan, the leader of the Silver Eagles," Karmen gestured to him and he nodded his head, "Devan, these are Kyle and Agnes."
"Greetings," Devan said in a rich voice, "You are not forced to join us, since you have yet taken your vows."
"You're all Shapeshifters...?" Agnes asked, unbelieving.
"Yes. You're not the only one of course," a ginger-haired woman chuckled.
"How have you guys been hiding all this time with...with weapons?" Kyle's eyes widened.
"Let's just say we'll take you there," Devan winked at Agnes, and his eyes rested on her longer than she liked.
He took out a small gemstone on a gold chain and fastened it around his neck. "You might want to hold on," he suggested to Agnes, outstretching his hand.
"No, no...it's fine," Agnes blushed pulling away.
"I insist," his hand linked with hers. She felt his smooth, cool palm, and couldn't breath as his fingers tightened around her hand. In her peripheral vision, she caught Kyle watching with a look of intense jealousy.
"Teleport," Devan commanded. Agnes was an arrow flying in space, and she felt as if she was being torn apart, being ripped to shreds. She was now glad that she held onto his hand.
She landed on her feet, on something hard. As her vision sharpened to the melting and growing surroundings, she realized they were underwater. A fragrance of salty seaweed, with a tang of ocean water, entered her nose. They were in a small cave underwater. A barrier was between the water and the dryness of the cave, preventing the ocean from pouring in. Outside, tendrils of kelp danced to the ocean's currents, while flamboyant corals of all colours stood still yet beautiful. Small crabs capered in the cream-coloured sand. Sunlight filtered through the surface of the ocean.
"This, this is amazing," Agnes commented. She then realized she was still holding Devan's hand. In a rush, she tried to wrestle her hand from his grasp.
Devan stared at her, then reluctantly let go of her hand. "Welcome to our base."
Inside the cave, there were luminescent bits of glowing moss that brightened it. A small shelf with books was on one side of the wall. The walls were made of white polished marble, as was the roof. A wooden door led to five rooms, which were the bedrooms, which held beds and carpets. Paintings covered the walls, streaks of colours circling the rooms. It didn't even feel like a cave, more like a luxury hotel.
"You sure spent a lot of times on this." Agnes ran her fingers along the walls, in awe.
"Of course we did. Glad you like it." Devan shot Agnes a grin. Agnes twisted her head away, blood gushing to her face. Kyle, once again, had his brow furrowed. Annoyance and jealously were written all over his face. Devan smirked at him.
"Well, see you Agnes." Devan waved goodbye, his face that of sadness. Kyle scowled at him.
"You too," Agnes chirped, and walked towards her house. They had already teleported from the base back to the woods. The sun was beginning to sink, tingeing the sky red. It plastered its warmth onto the tree trunks, and the bits of rough grass below. Rocks were burnt gold and red, reflecting the sky.
Kyle caught up to Agnes and tapped her shoulder.
"Bye Agnes, see you tomorrow," Kyle sighed.
"Bye Kyle." Agnes tromped away, leaving him alone. After walking sometime, and reaching her house, she groaned as she knew she would have to face her mom.
But then a startled yelp rang out, from the direction she and Kyle left each other.
Ohhhhh what do you think happens??? Just saying there'll be some drama in the next chapter! A love triangle will form...
