Gods.
Huge titans that are complete masters of their respective element..
700 years ago, it was said that there was a war between gods and humans.
Humans should of lost. No matter what they did, their power couldn't rival a god... Right?
Humans survived the war and even came out as the victor when they were clearly going lose.
What happened in the war? How did the humans win? No one know...
No one but me."Say, Kagi? Do you know where we are?" A black haired kid said as his hands laid on the hilt of his sword.
"Hmm...? I thought I told you, we're in the throne room of the fallen kingdom." The girl said, tilting her head in confusion. "Silly Nero" The white haired girl continued with a giggle.
"The THRONE room of the fallen kingdom... I don't know about this... I got a bad feeling." Nero said with a sigh as he slowly walked behind Kagi, ready should any traps activate.
"It's okay, there's nothing to worry about, I've been here before." Kagi said with another giggle.
"Better safe then sor- Ahhhh!" Nero cried as the floor below him opened. Seeing her best friend fall, Kagi jumped in the hole.
"Haha! Wait for me Nero!" Kagi said before she landed on her feet... Next to Nero who didn't have such luck as he landed face first.
"That hurt like hell..." Nero said nursing his face as Kagi let out another giggle. "Where... Are we?" Nero asked as he scoped his surroundings. They were in a dimly lit room that had a table full of notes, a bookshelf full of books, and a tube of purple liquid.
"Nero! Look there's a person in there." Kagi said as Nero turned around to see if was true or not. And it was. The person in the tube was around their age and had blonde hair. Wearing black clothing, the boy gave off an aura of power.
"Should we get him out...?" Nero asked as he wiped away some of the dust that was on the glass of the tube to get a better view of the person.
*Crack*
"Er..." Nero said as more and more cracks appear. Eventually the glass broken as the boy slumped downwards. Nero, having no idea what he had just done looked at Kagi for help.
"I'm sure he's not that bad, it's not like he's an immortal that is bent on destroying the kingdom." Kagi said with a shrug as Nero sweatdropped.
"Yeah... Let's hope that's not true... " Nero said before the boy stood up and looked at the duo with his crimson eyes.
"Who are you...? Why are you here...?" He asked Nero rest his hands on his sword before answering his question.
"I'm Nero and she's Kagi... We fell down here." Nero gestured to the hole above them. Satisfied with their answers, the boy began to walk.
"Follow." The boy said without even looking back at them. Nero's eyes narrowed as he opened his mouth to say something.
"Come on, he doesn't seem like he's all that bad." Kagi said giving Nero a gentle shove. With a sigh, he followed the boy from the tube.
"What is the date? And the year?" The boy asked as they walked up the spiral of the stairs.
"The day is the 10th, the year is A606." Nero answered as they reach the top of the stairs. The boy opened the door before walking through it as Nero and Kagi followed.
"That's the exit... It's been rather pleasant walking with you." The boy said as his image simmered before disappearing completely. Walking towards the direction that the boy pointed to. When they passed the exit they found themselves in the throne room, the hole they fell in was no longer there.
"Did that actually happened?" Nero asked to no one in particular as Kagi gave him a shrug.
"Dunno. Come on, let's go home." Kagi said as she pushed Nero out the throne room.
Unfortunately for them, as soon as they got out, they were quickly surrounded by bandits. "Oh! I didn't expect something like this!" What seemed like the bandit leader said with a laugh. Being bigger than most of the bandits and having more scars than everyone else, it wasn't that much of a guess to say he was the strongest.
"Quite the pretty little one aren't you?" The leader continued before nodding. "I suppose, I should stop talking and start looting." He continued as the rest of the bandits charged at the duo.
"Fire Nova!" Said Nero as he brought up his sword to parry one of the bandit's attack. Giving the bandit a kick in the chest, the bandit was sent tumbling on the ground before exploding. Not enough to kill but enough to knock the bandit out for the fight.
"God's Wind!" Kagi said as a huge amount of wind pushed against the bandits. The only one who wasn't bothered by the wind was the leader of the bandits as he simply stood there and grinned as Nero picked out bandits one by one.
"Done? You won't be much of a challenge if you take that long to defeat them." He said as Nero appeared in front of him and tried to stab him only for his sword to break.
"Wha-?" Nero barely was able to talk when the bandit leader punched him with suck force that Nero was launch onto the wall, forming an outline of him.
"Too bad for you, you'll never get pass my iron magic." He said as Kagi tried to cut him, using her ability to manipulate air. While a screeching noise was made no visual effects happened indicating that it didn't do much.
Moving at a surprising amount of speed for someone his size, the bandit leader quickly appeared in front of Kagi as he lifted her up using her hair. "I'll enjoy using you." He said as Kagi let a whimper of pain.
"As for you... Iron spear!" The bandit leader said as a spear materialize in his hand before he he threw it at Nero.
Kagi's eyes widened as she tried to stop the spear from hitting it's target by having the wind move it. While it was a great idea, there wasn't much distance between the spear and it's target so the spear didn't lose much speed.
"Like you're puny wind will do anything. I'll was once in the royal army for my strength and endurance!" The bandit leader said as the spear got closer and closer.
"Her wind might not do anything, but mine's will." A familiar voice said as the spear suddenly shot upwards, spinning before stabbing itself into the ground. The bandit leader had only time to widened his eyes before he was socked in the gut, as he dropped Kagi, and was shot backwards, much like what happened with Nero.
A blur appeared below Kagi as the person caught her, before disappearing and reappearing to where Nero was. "Y-you're..." The boy looked at her before punching what seemed like the air.
"Sora, Sora Isekai." He said as the bandit leader appeared exactly where Sora was punching. Once again the man was sent flying backwards, this time not as far as before.
"What?! How did you know I was going run there?! And how did you break my iron defenses?!" The bandit leader asked, his face red with humiliation and anger as he tried to figure out what exactly happened.
"You must be extremely dumb if you think I'll tell you." Sora said as the bandit leader tried again. Sora simply flicked his fist away before giving the bandit leader a good kick in the chest.
"Tell me. Do you know how magic originated?" Sora asked, dodging his attack before returning one himself.
"What, does, that, have, to, do, with, this?!" The bandit leader said, grunting at every word as a giant iron claymore appeared in his hand as he swung the claymore at Sora.
"Everything. Now answer the question." Sora said as his image blurred when the claymore slammed down where he was. Appearing next to the claymore, Sora gave it a small tap before it, too, was sent flying.
"Magic originated during the war with gods! Not that it matters, DIE!" The bandit leader said as he launch his trump card. A giant meteor made of iron.
"Not that it matters? To think humanity has fallen so far. I created magic, you think an attack like that will work?" Sora said as spikes came out of the ground, stabbing itself in the meteor, destroying it. "Now out of my sight." Sora said as the bandit leader simply disappeared into nothing.
"Nero..." Kagi said as she tried her best to heal her best friend. Her magic wasn't the best at healing but it was better than nothing.
"This is why you should of been more careful..." Sora said before waving his hand. "I'll just send you to the nearest town." He said as both Kagi and Nero started to glow.
"Wait! What about you?!" Kagi asked as Sora let out a growl.
"I'll be taking back what's mine... The Grimoire of Gods."
