"She has a, um, disease."Doctor Mathews stated.
"Well, cure it." Linda bluntly replied.
"It's not something you can cure."
"You're a doctor. Fix her. "
"No, no I can't. It's actually more of a disorder,"
"What's wrong with her?"
"She has a multiple personality disorder." Mathews shook his head, "you just, you can't trigger it."
"I have no idea what any of this means."
"She has another, personality. The sight of death triggers it."
"What?"
"Their's another person that's inside her. But neither of them know about the other. Abigail will stay, um, like herself as long as she doesn't see death."
"Death?"
"Everyone with this sickness has a trigger. Meaning, something will make the other person inside come out."
"So, if someone died, her 'other side' will come out."
"Yes"
"Before I leave, who is the other person?"
"As far as I know, a sociopath." Mathews said as he walked into the empty waiting room. 7 year old Abigail tuned to her mother and the doctor and smiled. Her hair was a mess and she was covered from head to toe in dark red blood.
"Will she go to jail?" Linda asked worriedly.
"Not if this stays between you and me. No one else can know."
"How long will it take for her to become herself again?"
"She should wake up and be fine. But, she won't remember anything. And don't tell her. It could be another trigger."
"Thank you." Linda smiled.
"Anytime."
