I’m walking down the street, as the street lamps flicker on. I feel tears roll down my face, I try to wipe them away, but it’s no use, they just keep coming.

I go to call my best friend to comfort me, but then the accident comes crashing back to me, and I start crying even more.

Kaitlyn and I were in my car, but she was driving, I was too tired and didn’t feel like driving. We were both laughing at something I said. I turn to her and see her smiling, and then I see a bright light and her deep green eyes get wide.

I feel myself being lifted into the air and then slammed back down. My eyes open and I start to panic, I look over at Kaitlyn, but all I see is blood, lots of it.

“Kaitlyn! Kaitlyn, wake up!” I scream but I already know how it’s going to end, Kaitlyn dead, and she’s never coming back.

I’m back on the street again, and I feel it starting to pour. I look down at my clothes; I guess it’s not a good time to wear a white t-shirt.

Oh well. It’s completely dark now, so I check my phone. I had ten missed calls from my mom. I sighed and turned off my phone, not wanting to be bothered by anyone, and kept walking. I turn the corner, and run into something hard.

I feel myself starting to fall so I close my eyes and brace myself for the impact, but it never happens.

I open my eyes and see a pair of bright blue eyes staring back at me. “I am so sorry! I wasn’t paying attention, are you okay?” he asked in a thick Irish accent, but it wasn’t too strong.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” I manage to get out we were still in the close position, and I start to realize how cold I actually am.

He started to let me go realizing how close we were and a faint red tint started to come on to his cheeks.

“I better get going, I’ll see you later.” I said and started to walk away but I felt a warm hand wrap my arm.

"Hey wait, I was just on my way to my car, want a ride home?” he asked slightly smiling

“Sure, why not?” I said smiling back “Okay, well my cars this way.” He said taking my hand.

We past a store, and I caught a glimpse of myself in the window. I looked horrible, I was completely drenched from the rain, my make-up was everywhere, and my eyes were red and puffy. My brown hair was in my face, so I brushed it back and put it in a ponytail. It started to pour even harder, I felt a hand wrap around mine.

“Let’s run!” he said

I laughed and walked slower, I loved the rain. It was soothing.

Niall turned back and raised an eyebrow at me.

“Why are you walking slower? You’re going to catch a cold.” He said

“I like the rain, it calms me.” I replied

He walked back towards me and started to walk with me.

So, uh…” I started off realizing I didn’t know his name and blushed.

“Niall.” He said smiling

“Nice name, mines Payton.” I replied

We walked a little bit more and reached his car.

“After you, m’lady.” He said and opened the door.

I smiled and got in. I saw someone already in the driver’s seat and shrugged. Guess he has a personal driver.

We started off and I gave the driver my address.

“So, wanna play twenty questions?” he asked
