Travis' Point Of View
"Travis honey. You never want to come visit me." I was breaking down and I couldn't stop "Mama. I need you. I'm turning into him, it's bad I don't wanna be him I really don't. Mama please. Just let us come visit. I need to get away from here for awhile. Just please." My mom sighed "Okay. When are you leaving?" I sighed "Maybe tomorrow. It's late tonight. And Meygan just had a miscarriage." My mom gasped "Travis I'm sorry. I'm so sorry baby." I was wiping my face "Its all my fault. Mom I almost killed her. I beat her at her own job, turned around and roughed her up some more here at the warehouse then I fucking forced her to fuck me. And on top of that I drugged her. Then when I took her in my room everything kicked in and that's the same place she lost the baby. Mom I killed my own child. And I didn't mean to. I just couldn't stop. I beat some guy in the Alley because I couldn't find who I was looking for and then when I did find the guy I was looking for I beat him too...mom please help me." Tears were rolling down my face and I was shaking uncontrollably, and no one was here to hold me and calm me down.
My mom was humming through the phone. And I just listened. It was the tune of Whiskey Lullaby, It once was her favorite song. Her voice came in singing the words and it just soothed my soul, no matter what she sung it always soothed me. I pushed my seat back and laid there in my seat as she sung the song. I knew it was a sad song but she knew I loved it. "The Angels Sang a Whiskey Lullaby." Her soft voice reminded me of Allison Krauss' but I always though mom's was better.
I woke up to see my mom was still on on the phone, we had been in for about 2 hours. She never hung up. "Mom..." she yawned "I'm still here baby, I'll always be here, with all the bad days, bad dreams and hard times. No matter what you can always call me." I smiled "yes ma'am. You should get some rest." She yawned again "Good night baby."
I hung up and got out the car, I walked back inside the warehouse, the guys quickly stopped talking. They were all looking toward my office, I walked over there. I opened the doors to find Meygan, she was sitting there in a ball. She looked scared, before I could make it inside my office I broke, I dropped to my knees and heard some of my men gasp. Meygan walked over, there was something different. She gripped my hair, tilting my head to look at her. She was just looking at me. I looked at her "Baby I'm-" she slapped me. My shades flew across the room, it revealed the black eye that she gave me earlier, she didn't know though. Her eyes got wide "You're eye." My guys were in shock. Some looked scared almost. I looked up at her "Speed bag.." Meygan rubbed my cheek "I'm leaving." Everything was spinning "Wait what?" I tried to get up I was still dizzy though "No you're not!" She went to walk past me "You took the one thing from me that I loved! There's no reason for me to be here anymore. And I hope you're ready for Jail. Because that's where you're going." Meygan pushed away from me and walked out the warehouse.
All I was seeing was red, who did she think she was sending to Jail. Not me, especially not me. I walked out after her, she was walking down the street. I followed her "Meygan!" She was ignoring me. I picked up my speed and so was she, soon I was chasing after her on foot, she looked back at me and kept going full speed, I picked up the speed and tackled her down. She screamed "Get off of me!" I was holding her down, I didn't think college football would have helped me but seems it did. "Stop Running from me! I'm taking you home! We're packing and going out of town for a week!" Meygan kept fighting me "I'm not going anywhere with you!" I sighed "You're coming with me to meet my mother and that's final!" She froze "your mother..." I nodded "Please..Baby Please Don't leave me." I loosened my grip and my hands went to her hips, my head was pressed against hers and she rubbed my cheek. I was slowly downward spiraling. And Meygan knew it. I got up off the ground and so did she. My head was pounding, and she held me close. I broke down crying, I dropped to my knees and pressed my head into her chest. She was holding on to me "Lets get you home." I nodded and was slowly getting up. That's when I blacked out.
