There are times in my life when I feel lonely and depressed, and it is easy to forget what I know to be true. It is easy to believe the lie of what I feel and not have faith in what I know is real. The simple beauty of truth is that it is a constant. It never changes despite the fact that we chance. It is the hole inside of me that lets me know something is missing. It is an eternal absolute, and while it creates the holes in my logic, it can also fill them with a new form of logic…real logic…consistent logic… This, to me, is beautiful and worth writing about.

Truth
There is a hole inside my chest,
pushing up against my breast,
quickly draining of all that’s left
of my sanity untied.
It’s like insanity, deep inside my mind,
the unplanned part of planned design,
inside my heart, an unrefined
desire.
Set apart from life and tied
to the deepest line of my regression.
It is the sweetest form of my obsession.
It is an unavoidable digression.
It calms my thoughts when I’m not in the mood,
and fills my empty hearts deception.
It gains power from my solitude,
and concludes the cycle of my depression.
It is the sweetest form of my obsession,
the perfect part of me.
It’s everything about my life
I want my life to be.
It holds my memories in check
and lets me loose the lies.
It purges painful parts direct
and cuts my “realist” ties.
It is the sweetest form of my obsession.
It holds me to its truth.
It burns away my empty tries
and preserve my wide eyed youth.
It lets me know that I’m enough,
in sick,
in health,
in chance,
in love.
In her eyes wide open,
a perfect dove
of listless beauty,
and accepted opportunity
from above.
My sweet, sweet obsession.
I’ll never let you let me go.
Cause certainty is the arrogance of war
and you’re the only peace I know.
