The Hidden Truth

The Shift

Me and my best friend Sally were sitting side by side in the plain white room the walls were piling and it was empty. My icy blue eyes filled with anxiety as we sit looking at a slime woman taping a pen on her notepad as she looked at us nervously. She took one big breath then looked at us. "I'm sorry to tell you this but,''Sally gripped my hand hard as we both looked at her with fear in our eyes,"We are all out of pepperoni pizza." she blurted out as fast as she could.

 "NOOOO WHY DOES THE WORLD HAVE TO BE SO CRUEL!!" i yell as i fell to the floor with tears in my eyes.

"Alex its okay it just pizza. we can go somewhere else for pizza or we could just go to a bar that's all ways fun."

"JUST PIZZA!!!" i yell at the top of my lungs while glaring at Sally the waitress gulped as i stood up off the floor.

"Alex calm down a bit, its okay lets just get you to that one bar they have pizza there to." Sally suggested while looking down at the floor to scared to meet my eyes because of the stone hard glare i was giving her. I took a big breath then looked up at her with defeat. 

"Okay, lets go there instead"

"Yay, lets go." Sally cheered

 "Okay i"ll call Zane to meet us there." i say while take out my phone. i dialed Zane's number and tell him to meet us at that bar."okay he will met us there in about ten minutes."

 "lets go party!" Sally yelled as she starts walking in the direction of the bar. i chuckle at the remark. 

we walk for a few minutes in till we are at the bar. We see Sally's crush matt leaning against my black mustang.He was tall, tan and dark brown hair with big round brown eyes that matched perfectly, if i say so he was quit hot. I cough to get his attention.

"That's my car your leaning on" i say while glaring at him.

"are you sure because Zane was the one who drove up in it." he said  while glaring at me like i caused world hunger or something. i looked at him with disbelief how can someone that hot be that stupid. when i thought that i heard Sally chuckle from behind my shoulder.

"Alex you do know you said that out loud right?" I herd a familiar deep calming voice say behind me, i turned around to see a tall sightly pale guy. he had light grey eyes and dark black hair. He had a sharp jaw line and a smile to die for. but what made him even hotter was the way he looked at you, his eyes were filled with compassion and trust.

"Oh um hi Zane i didn't see you there and did i really say that out loud?" i say looking up at Zane. he laughed which made my heart flutter. then he leaned down by my ear. he was so close i could feel his warm breath which sent shivers down my spine.

" You did and well do you see Matt's face its hilarious he is blushing like crazy he looks like a fire hid-rent." he whispered in my ear.

"All we need is a dog and then we will have the whole party" i said while laughing then with perfect timing Luke walked by and looked at us then said hey while stuttering when he saw Sally. Me and Zane burst out laughing at his timing.

"Well there is your dog you asked for?" Zane chuckled. when he said that everyone looked at us confused but seemed to brush it off there shoulders like it was nothing.

"well lets go party!" Sally yelled with a big goofy her face. Luke and Matt wooed at that statement and then we started to walk in the bar when Zane's shoulder brushed against mine causing my whole arm to go fuzzy and a shiver went down my spine. we all walk in and my company started to drink. me being the driver started to dance. we all partied for hours when it started to get dark.

Its 11pm and most my friends are drunk Sally and Luke are dancing, Matt is getting a drink,and Zane disappeared somewhere. i went outside to get fresh air. i walked out the back to the side of the bar. not a lot of people knew about this secret place only me and Zane come back here when he wants to smoke. as i walk to the side hearing the loud music and cheers from inside the bar. i suspected to see Zane there but he is probable with some random girl. ha ha most likely not because we are talking about Zane here. i lean against the cold, cool bricks as i look up at the calming stars of the beautiful crystal blue sky. there were a million stars in the sky.

 After about ten minutes of counting the stars i finely get ready to go back inside to find my drunk company. when out of no where i was being pushed against the cold bricks with the smell of beer now present. i open my eyes to see Matt there roughly pushing me against the wall with a small smirk tugging at the ends of his lips. " what are you doing" i asked sternly try to hid the fear in my voice.

"I was just wondering if u wanted to have any fun"

" im good now if you would let me go that would be great" i reply trying to stay as calm as possible. Matt smashed his lips on mine as soon as i said that. i tried to push him back when a hand pulled him off of me and punched him in the face. i looked up to see Zane. he smiled at me then looked down at Matt with a dark glare.

"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH HER, I SWEAR I SHOULD KILL YOU!" Zane yelled.

 "It's okay Zane lets just go" i requested calmly hold on to Zane's arm as i feel him relax a bit.

" the others all ready went home with sally's sister" Matt blurted holding his jaw. Zane started to walk fast still holding my hand. as we head towards the woods.

After a few minutes of walking we were in the woods alone Zane finely stopped walking. then he looked at me with a hint of sadness in his clear grey eyes. i hugged him as tight as i could. as he put his head on my shoulder his black hair brush against my face causing me to grin like an idiot. We stood their like that for what felt like hours. i wish it would last forever. Zane was pulled out of the embrace by Matt and a taller buff man who looked to be in his early 20s. the bigger guy held Zane's arms down as Matt punched him in till blood came from his nose and busted lip. as i watched them beat up Zane anger burst fro inside me. when i started feeling pain every where it felt like my bones were all breaking apart and rebuilding there selves just t break again. as i howl in pain when the last bone breaks and rebuilds. my vision goes black.

~sorry if this chapter isn't that good i had to rush it a bit because my mother was hurrying me up to get off my laptop so my bad i promise the next chapter will be better. :)
