I woke up sweating, it was still dark outside. When my eyes focused I could see around the room, my friend's living room.

"Bad dream?" Aiden asked, scaring me half to death.

"Y-yeah. Why are you awake?" I said back.

"We all are," I heard Camila say, then she turned on the lamp beside her.

I saw that everyone was lying on their side staring at the ground... or sitting up, staring at the ground. I rubbed my head and sat up. "You guys too?" I asked.

"Yeah. All of us the same dream... nightmare. Whatever the hell it was." Asher said in a low, raspy voice.

"T-the asylum? The kids getting shot... right in front of you?" My voice shook as I said it. Everyone nodded. "I don't understand."

"How could they do that to those kids? As if they knew any better..." Avery said, tears forming in her eyes.

"Why did we all have the exact same dream?" Dallas said, sitting up. "I know we all went through something today but, the exact same dream? Come on, something's up."

"Something is up," Diego started, "I think it's the patients."

"What are you talking about, Diego?" Camila whispered, moving herself to lean against the wall.

"I think when we went in there, we weren't alone. Not just Emily, man. I think the patients of that place are going to haunt us. The ones that we saw get shot, and the many others that probably died there too." He said, pulling his blanket up to his chin.

"Haunting us? What did we do?" Aiden raised her voice.

"Shhh!" Came from all of us.

"Maybe they don't like people walking around their home." Camila suggested.

"Yeah but what about Emily?" I asked.

"You saw that woman, being haunted is probably what made her crazy." she replied.

"She did say she heard voices... but those were her friends that she had before the asylum." Asher said.

"Guys..." Avery whispered.

"What?"

"I think it's because of our promise." She said.

"What promise?" Dallas asked, then remembered. "Oh."

"We said we would find Emily's old friends. I think that's why they're haunting us, because we haven't looked yet." She had a point.

"Well, Emily did threaten to kill if we didn't look for them. If she can't leave the asylum, maybe her ghost friends would be doing the killing." I said, chills running through my body. Silence filled the room for a few minutes.

"So what do we do?" Aiden asked. "Because I don't want any more of those dreams, and I don't want to get killed by some ghost people."

"Well... there's only one thing we can do." Asher said. "First thing tomorrow, we have to find Emily's friends in the woods."
