Genes pov
I run home to my room. Tears are threatening to fall but I hold it in. Once I get there I yank open the door and run upstairs. I rush into my room and slam the door. I fall onto my bed, face first and finally I start to cry.
What's wrong with me?
Why am I such an idiot?
She would never like me and now I've lost the only true friend I had.
I should've made something up or just say I don't have a crush.
Ughhhh my life is over
I lay there silently sobbing into my pillow. I'm so lost in thought I don't notice Dante until he sits at the foot of my bed.
"Gene?" He asked in a concerned voice
"G-go away" I stuttered through tears
"Gene, I'm here for you if you wanna talk. Just know that" he says softly still not getting up.
I say nothing but I stop crying.
I sit up sitting with my legs crossed
He moves to we are each sitting at one end of the bed, staring at each other.
I look down and mess with my hands, debating on writhed I should tell him or not.
He will make fun of me but I know he won't tell anyone. I need to get this off my chest and the rest of the shadow knights aren't trustworthy.
" I-I liked a girl. A lot. So when she invited me to her sleepover I went even though everyone else there hated me, she was my one friend"
I pause and take a deep breath
"T-then we played Truth or Dare. Someone who's had it out for me for a while dared me to tell them who my crush was. I tried to get out of it but then soon I just said her nickname."
I pause again and wipe my eyes
"Nobody knew who I was talking about but her. You could see it on her face."
I wipe tears away that started to fall.
"Then I ran. And here I am" I said with a sigh.
I didn't notice but Dante had moved closer to me and gave me a hug.
We weren't very close except for when we were kids, but now I feel like I can trust him again.
"I'm sorry that happened, do you want some ice-cream?" He asked
"Yes please" I said and he released the hug and went off to get it.
I pulled out my book from under the mattress and looked at the drawing. Silent tears fell down my face and a few of them hit the paper, not ruining the drawing.
I noticed Dante was back when he asked "what's that?"
"It's a drawing she made for me" I say handing it to him in exchange for the ice-cream. He studied it for a while and then folds it back up and returns it to its place in the book. Then he puts the book back under the mattress.
"How did you know where that goes" I asked very confused
"Well...when you blackmail a guy to clean your room so many times, it's only expected for him to snoop around" he said with a small giggle.
I laughed back. Maybe my life isn't over.

Aphmaus pov
Everyone decide to go home and not stay the night because of how crazy everything got.
I sit alone in my room rethinking what happened.
~"Ok well....I....I like Kitty"~
His words repeated in my mind.
I feel my face heat up. That's odd I'm not around anyone so I shouldn't be embarrassed. Was I happy? Flattered?
No no no no no
This can't be. Do I actually like him back.
Well he is pretty awesome
His jet black hair and his ocean blue eyes. I realize I'm blushing again. Oh no.
I'm too afraid to say anything.
I know he likes me back and I know he won't say no but.
I dont know I'm just afraid.
What if this is another joke, another prank to make me mad. If I open up to him and he was lying then I'll look like a fool.
Ughh why is life so hard.

Genes pov
It's time for school again and im feeling pumped. Dante gave me a pep talk and im ready to go. It's ok that she doesn't like me back. I'll get over her ......... eventually.
I'll just pretend that nothing happened and everything should go back to the way things were.
I'm glad I took this advice from Dante. He's great with the ladies. He even dated two at the same time. I walk into school and go to my locker and grab my stuff. I hang out with Sasha and Zenix.
"Woah. Did you guys hear?" Sasha asked
"Hear what?" I said
"Someone clogged and overflowed all the toilets in one of the bathrooms!" Zenix yelled
"This is bad. Someone is worse than us. We're losing our reputation!" Sasha said seriously.
I just smiled
"What's got you so happy?" She asked
I just gave her a look. She gasped
"You did it didn't you!" She yelled
"Shhh keep your voice down" I whisper-yelled
"Oh sorry" she giggled
We continue walking down the halls and then we run into Kitty.
Zenix knocks her down and she drops all her books.
"H-hey!" She yelled
"Oops guys I tripped over a potato" he said making fun of her
I glare at him to make him shut up. He doesn't.
"Oh what's wrong, don't want me teasing your girlfriend" he says taunting me
"Get out of my sight before I make you regret ever being born" I growled.
Him and Sasha scurried away and around the corner.
I bend down to help Kitty pick up her books and I reach out a hand to help her up.
She was up but she hasn't let go of my hand yet. I blush and starts at our hands intertwined together.
Soon she noticed and let go. I look up at her and her face is beat red.
"T-thanks" she says, stuttering a bit
"Hey, it's okay if you don't like me back, but can we just go back to how things were. You're one of my only friends" I say looking down
"Of course" she says bubbly
"Heh thanks Kitty" I said and she blushed a little.
"L-let's get to class before we're late" she sais and we part and go to our classes.

Even if she doesn't love me, at least we're still friends
