Tragedy

If you were to write my story down
And pick it up to read
You'll find it with your crying eyes
For it's a tragedy

I'm gripping tightly to my sanity
I'm holding on to the bliss from pain
But everything comes back to haunt me
And I can't seem to escape

If you were to write my story down
You'd cry a thousand tears
For in it's pages you would find
My deep, encasing, fears

I've agonized a thousand times
And lost my will to live
But fight I must
From dawn til dusk
To see my loved ones once again

If you were to write my story upon a small notepad
You'd be sad, then you'll be glad
When you hear it's end
My life is not a romance
Nor mystery
Nor fantasy
It is simply and always will be
A tear jerking tragedy
