I woke up in a hospital room. The nurse was talking to my family. I could hear Hiraku outside trying to get in. My mother sighed, asking the nurse when I would be coming home.
"She will be home in a day, Mrs. Nari. We must run a few more tests before we can let her out."
"Very well."
My parents left without looking at me, and a wave of loneliness washed over my mind. The people outside let Hiraku in, and the tears in my eyes disappeared. The next thing to do, I realized, was explain. This was going to be difficult.
I told my friends everything when they got there. They were silent for a long time. Hiraku broke the silence.
"We have to get rid of it. We have to find a way to cure you."
"I agree," said Hina. "We have to find a way."
I looked up to see all three of them crying.
