[Shane's POV]

I walked down the hall of the museum and scanned around with my flashlight.

Me: "Why is it that I always have to take the night shifts?"

I mumbled to myself, still a little hurt that my manager only gives me night guard shifts. The Vale Museum of Huntsman and Huntress History is a rather large building, holding many items of great value, so every night I have to walk these halls until it opens the next day. I sighed.

Me: "I mean it's not like I even need to be here, nothing ever-"

Suddenly I felt as though someone was behind me. I quickly turned around only to see some kind on blunt instrument collide with my skull. With no time to think, I blacked out.

[(Y/N)'s POV]

I quickly grabbed the guard and set him down gently, careful not to make a sound.

Me: 'One guard for this entire place? Not the smartest idea on their part, but it makes my job easier.'

I began walking to my original destination, before I had gotten distracted with the presence of the security guard. I finally arrived at a large painting, about the length of both my arms. It depicted three huntsman with simple swords fighting off a horde of Grimm. I pulled a scalpel like tool from one of the many pouches on my black leather armor and began to carefully cut the painting from its frame. Once free from the frame I rolled the painting up and carefully put it in a cylinder like case I had brought with me. Suddenly I heard the creek of the floor behind me, however it was so soft I had almost missed it. I turned around to see a very familiar face. Erin, my former apprentice. Her short black hair was nearly covered by a cloth wrapping around her head, her black leather armor was nearly like mine, but without the face mask.

Me: "Erin... What are you doing here?"

Erin: "What, I can't come to see my old mentor?"

Me: "I know better than to believe that."

She rolled her blue eyes at me.

Erin: "I heard you took a job and decided to see how you were doing, I hear you're starting to lose your touch."

I chuckled.

Me: "Like usual you don't gather your information properly. I haven't lost my touch, never will."

I started to walk passed her.

Erin: "I also saw you're still too much of a coward to actually dispose of guards."

I stopped in my tracks.

Me: "I only kill if there's no other choice. Unlike you, I'm not an assassin for hire."

Erin: "They're just guards."

Me: "No, they're human beings. Besides, knocking someone out doesn't draw as much attention as a dead body being found."

Erin: "And when they wake up it causes more problems."

I chuckled.

Me: "I don't have to worry about that, I'm gone before they ever wake up.... speaking of which."

I moved towards a window and pried it open, then mounted the windowsill.

Me: "Try to stay out of trouble."

I hopped out the window, which was on the second floor, and landed flawlessly on the ground. I looked back up to the window and saw Erin looking down at me. I gave her a slight wave then took off into the night.
