The pain ripped through me, it didn't start off dull at all, it felt as if my heart was being ripped into two... All I could feel was the wind rushing past me as I fell.

I shot up out of bed panting heavily and relaying the events in my mind I let out an involuntary scream as I tried to muffle it with the sweat soaked Peter Alexander pyjamas I had on.

The first thing I did was reach up around my neck, the reassuring presence of the crescent moon filled me with liquid calm. I slumped against my bed frame as Father came rushing in. He looked at the state of me and came up, brushing a soft tear from my cheek

"Shh, It's ok. Was it the same dream again?" I nodded uneasily and he pulled me into his chest. I let out a sob and let the comforting presence of my Father envelope me into a gentle doze.

"Name?" The attendant at the front desk asked, she had a poisonous lipstick over her nails the purple ripped through my mind but of course, since I was colour blind like everybody else without a mate so far, my eyes reduced me to only be able to see black, grey and white, And I had learnt over the years that purple just took on the shade of a dark grey. She wore a fluffy purple vest with purple leggings and a possum fur wrap-around coat. If this woman was going for a purple theme with a small amount of super villain mixed in, boy was she going about the right way. My mind had ticked over to more important matters so she tapped her nails against the desk. She had a Cantonese accent about her;

"You. Girl, your name before I ask you to leave" She spoke quickly without and care for using official English.

"Oh, um, Sorry. Amber Lili Ingram Winimate" She looked up at me with a scowl before using her nails to tap in the sheet on the computer.

"Age and birthdate. Come on girl I don't have all day." She huffed after I took longer than three seconds to answer. Sigh. She's going to be difficult to get around.

"23, born on the third of May 1995" She looked up at me and narrowed her eyes in beady slits and tapped carelessly again at her computer. She muttered a mixture of English and Cantonese under her breath

"Stupid poxy computer... " She said under her breath before looking back up at me with the still narrowed eyes. Sheesh. What is her problem?

"What you want the loan for?" I looked back at her with a clueless expression, the accent was wrapping around my head and because of my packs Latino origin and accent. She looked back up at me like I was dumber than a chicken.

"What, W-H-A-T. You, Y-O-U. Want W-A-N-T. Loan L-O-A-N. For? F-O-R" This lady was driving me insane.

"To set up a psychiatric business to help people with severe mental illnesses, I just need around $150,000 to get my first laboratory set up" I smiled confidently after studying for years, I was fairly sure I would be accepted. She looked back up at me with a wicked smile.

"Denied" It took me a second to process that, Wait, what? Denied?

"Wait... No, no, no, Are you sure? I even emailed ahead and it said I would be most likely accepted, are you sure? This has to be wrong" She looked back up at me with a bored expression.

"Yes honey, I sure. You no get it, Denied, denied, denied" She sung the last past causing me to let out an involuntary growl. She looked back up at me with fire in her eyes.

"Your kind is not welcome here. Get out" She looked up at me, her fangs exposed. Of course. She would have emailed ahead and told them I was a werewolf. It's a Vampire run company and I know our kind hasn't gotten along tremendously but still, to be this bad?

I walked home and cast a gaze around at the at the pavement. I didn't feel good enough to lift my head any higher. I trekked to the Monty Pallier café where Jensen worked, My best friend in the pack, and well, in the world. I sat down at the table and whispered a few words the Moon Goddess wouldn't approve of under my breath before I looked up and noticed him. He gave me a soft rub on the back and mouthed the word 'Denied' I nodded up at him and he whisked away to go prepare a weak tea for me. After around 5 minutes Jensen appeared back again this time he had lost the apron and had two drinks is his hand, my tea and his coffee. His brightly alert, chocolate eyes always lost me and his brown hair and sharp jawline always caught my breath in my throat.

"Hey Amber, don't even worry about it, it'll be fine" I looked up and let out an involuntary sob and he put his hand on my shoulder and brushed my cheek.

"Hey, don't be sad. It's stupid because it's just a stupid Vampire company that's stupidly run by stupid King 'Vladmire' or whatever that's stupid!" I looked up and smiled, grateful for the attempts he has put forward to lift my spirit. He looked up at me and smiled.

"Well, This weekend is your birthday so, I think the party's going to be awesome and I shall personally bring you that cranky attendants head on a platter" I smiled before he stole my last biscuit from my plate and I furrowed my brow at him, his weak apology attempt not even need to be spoken and I let out a growl. He lowered his gaze and let out a whimper before laughter broke out amongst us. The bell to the café dinged and I looked back noticing my favourite person. Not. Rosa is the bane of my life. This girl could be sleeping and I'd still find it annoying. She looked over to me and her eyes narrowed until I could hardly see the lifeless blue in them, and, as every dramatic story goes, she began walking over to me. She smiled her fake-ass smile and placed her hand on my shoulder.

"Oh, hun," she said playing with her blonde impeccably straight hair,

"I heard your loan didn't go too well, huh? Oh yes, I had nothing to do with that what so ever, I would never want to stop you from getting something that you wanted, would I?" I growled and went to stand up but before I could Jensen reached his hand under the table and placed it gently on my knee. Rosa turned around

"Go on puppy, growl, show everyone your true form, your ugly, fat and wild self" She turned around and pushed my tea straight into my lap. My eyes stung with tears as I looked down at the tea all over my lap and the bottom half of my shirt. I growled and sprinted as fast as I could out of the store. Jensen can't see me like this... I ran a quick five minutes to the pack forest territory and let loose not caring about my clothes getting ripped. I morphed in my wolf Zayla and let out an angst-filled howl. All I could feel was her anger and the wind rushing in her ears. She was untameable and I wasn't going to stop her.
