"without you I am lost.without you, I'm dead. without you, I am nothing more than a breath of air."

Cass

hey, I'm Cass. you probably think I'm nice and outgoing, which I am but I wasn't always like this. not until a very special someone came along.

flashback

"hun, it's time for school!" Cass's mom came trodding up the staircase.

"five more minutes!" Cass groaned heavily.

5 minutes later

"if you don't hurry up, I will poor cold water on you!" her mother screamed not knowing that Cass was already on her way down stairs.

"you were saying?" Cass asked sarcastically.

"look, I'm sorry for yelling but when I say get up, you need to get up." her mother explained.

"I know mom, I know, it's just been hard since dad died." Cass responded.

"look, we both miss him but you need to get out more. make friends. fall in love maybe but don't stay cooped up in this house.

"thanks mom, I really needed that." Cass said.

"your welcome, now get in the car, I'll be out in a sec." her mother said motioning her towards the car.

"here we go." Cass thought to herself.

Cass

at school

"thanks mom." I said waving goodbye to her.

"bye sweetie!" she said pulling out of the school parking lot.

"today is going to be dreadful isn't it? I hope not." I think to myself.

I soon arrived at my locker when some girl comes up to me.

"hi, sorry to bother you but I just wanted to meet you." she insures me.

"no no, it's fine." trying not to sound annoyed. which I was quite annoyed alright.

"well, I'm Sam. what is your name?" Sam asks.

"my name is Cass." I said.

"well Cass, are you new here?" she asks. man this girl is pestering me with questions.

"yea, actually I am." I told her.

"great, do you mind if I sit with you at lunch?" she asks.

"actually, why don't I sit with you?" I asked in response.

"sorry, have to have vip tickets to sit there." she says.

my jaw literally touched the floor when she said that. ok, this girl is starting to get on my nerves.

"I'm just kidding, that actually sounds great." she assures.

fast forward 12:00

Sam

this "Cass" girl is so adorable. the way she looked at me when I said she needed vip tickets was hilarious! you know what they say about first impressions.

"hey Sam!" I hear someone call across the lunch room.

"hey Cass what's up?" I ask.

"oh nothin much." she responds.

"oh um... I have a favor to ask." I say.

"what is it?" she asks.

"how would you feel about a sleep over at my house?" I ask.

her face had "surprise" written all over her face.

"are there gonna be guys  there?" she asks.

"nope, just us and some other girls. we want you to be part of our group.

"um, yea sure. my mom works 3rd shift tonight." Cass informed me.

"great. how does 8 sound?" I ask.

"sounds good, see ya there." she says waving goodbye.
