Warriors Clinch Second NBA Title Over Cavaliers

For the second time, The Golden State Warriors claimed the NBA title. Once again, they did it over their heated rivals, the Cleveland Cavaliers. And what made the victory even more sweeter was that it happened  in front of 19,596 fans.

Everything offensively clicked with the Warriors offense and defense that night. Kevin Durant scored a team-high 39 points while Stephen Curry contributed with 34 of his own. Several others added multiple points, gaining a team-high 11 rebounds in the process.

But while they were a powerhouse on offense, the defense was almost their Achilles heel. They gave away 25 points on turnovers and were ultimately outshot 53.4 percent to 51.1 percent. The Cavs also won the second chances battle, and lead the fast-break battle.

Despite these chinks in the armor of GS, it was an all-round outstanding night. Iguodala, Green, and Durant stood out fantastically, showing that they wouldn't be denied the title. Durant ended up being MVP, and for good reason: 39 points, seven rebounds, and five assists is definitely something to boast.

After making a big turning way mid-way through the second quarter, the Warriors reeled off several points in a row and didn't lose the lead from there. All in all, that night was sweet, but defeating their rivals made it all the more sweeter.
