The untold tale of Captain Hook

Chapter 1

I'm sure you all have heard of the story of Peter Pan, and if you have heard that story you must of heard of Captain Hook. You know the infamous pirate with a hook for a hand. He also is the enemy, nemesis if you will, of Peter Pan. Have you ever wondered how he got to Neverland or who Captain Hook really is. That's why i'm here to tell you the forgotten tale of captain Hook. I promise it's not what you would expect. And one more thing Mr Killian Jones may not be the primary main character in this tale.

"Stay here" his father had said as he lay him and his older sister into cots."I'll be right back. Papa just has a few things to take care of first." He had been drifting off to sleep as he watched his Papa walk through the door of the room and never come back. This morning he had awoke to the news that he and his sister had been sold into servitude on this pirate ship.

"Killian" His sister said obviously seeing that Killian was on the verge of tears. She walked over to him and embraced him. "Everything is going to be fine." She says as if she is trying to convince herself more than him. "I won't let anybody lay a hand on you, I swear"

"Sis why would Papa do this to us?" he said not wanting to believe what was happening and what had happened.

"You know how when mother died we lost a lot of money and did not have enough to support us, but then we did?" She asked him taking his hands into hers.

"Yeah" He remembered it was such a sad and confusing time that he had no need to question where all of that money had come from.

"Well, whenever Papa would leave the house he would pickpocket, lie and cheat to get the money. Sometimes he would come home with blood on his hands and I would help him wash it off before you could see." Killian shook his head. No, there was no way that his Papa was a lying thief. "He's a wanted criminal and the guards were catching up to him so to save his own skin he sold us into slavery and used the money to buy safe passage to somewhere probably, hopefully, far far away. Mother's passing changed him into a self serving bastard and i'm just glad that he is as far away as possible from us." There was a moment of silence between them as Killian tried to process what his sister had just said. Was his Papa really as horrible and selfish as she said?

Not long after this there was a loud screech as one of the pirates opened the door to the room. "The Captain wants to see his new deck hands above deck. It would be wise not to keep him waiting." The pirate explained briefly before shutting the door and most likely making his way back above deck.

"Now let's go meet this Captain and see who we were sold to, shall we." Killian's sister said with a mixture of fire and thrill in her eyes. However behind her brave face Killian was sure he saw fear in his sister's eyes as she left the room and climbed above deck with Killian at her heels.
