Birds in the sky . // 5SOS

Chapter 1 :

* Natalie *

I walk down the hallway, fear and terror written all over my face . I watch as popular girls,

mostly Chloe

point at me and snicker . I know why, my hair is not long anymore and I look pretty weird . " Hey freak ! Getta wig at least ! " Kayden . I feel tears sting the corners of my eyes as I walk past and people laugh .

Ouch .

My attention is no longer on Kayden and possibly the rest of the 8th grade class laughing at me, but on Lucas Robert Hemmings . My heart literally shatters to pieces hearing Cole yell " Hey 'Mummy's Boy' ! " it doesn't seem to faze him, but I then see a tear roll down his cheek .

I feel like my heart will burst .

I then see my friend Baylee run in, see Luke, death stare at Cole and Kayden, hug Luke and tell him something . He says thanks and walks on up the bleachers . She sprints over here avoiding anymore looks . She has her inhaler in hand and I know she was just currently freaking out about possibly nothing .

Poor girl .

"What happened to Luke this time ? What did they do ?" She asks staring up at Luke . "Cole called him a Mummy's boy again ." I reply . "God, can't they think of anything else ?" She says annoyed . She looks at the door, then back at me . "A new girl is coming sometime this week, I heard the teachers talking about her, Ashley ? Maybe, I don't know, I might've heard wr-"

Hold on a sec bæ .

" OOOOH your lover is coming in" I say or sing .. kinda . She blushes and slaps me . He looks over here to make sure Baylee is here and she looks at him and smiles while he smiles back . I did some talking to him and turns out, he likes her too . He looks up to see Luke in the bleachers silently crying . Ashton gets a look of worry and runs up there .

Me and Baylee do too .

His face is red and blotchy, but he is still cute . I sit behind him and hug him for a while and Ashton and Baylee hug him as well . I start playing with his hair knowing it calms him down . He looks up at me and smiles then blushes as do I . He starts calming down and the crying stops .

I feel awful .

Ashton and Baylee share a look of .. mischief ? They smile and say "We are uh, gonna go down there ." They point to where me and Baylee were sitting . They go down there and when they get down there they high-five and start talking about random things . Me and Luke sit in silence

A very awkward one I might add,

For a while then he finally says "You know who would be cute together ?" He looks up at me and smirks . "U-uh who ?" The smirk ugh . "Ashton and Baylee .. We need to play matchmaker ." He says .

This will be fun .
