The Crash That Changed Everything

I look up from the large textbook in front of me and see Mr. White standing in front of my desk with a concerned look on his face. I had dark circles under my eyes and he says to me "you need to get more sleep but not in my class." I ask to go to the bathroom and I go. I wash off my face and look at my light mixed skin in the mirror and say to myself, "you can do this" I walk out of the bathroom and I start walking down the hall. I turn the corner to the hall my class is in and see Jenny Mc mire.

 jenny and I used to be the closest friends in the entire school then as high school started and we started to make new friends. I gave her a quick smile and kept on walking then I heard her call out my name behind me. I turn around to see her looking at me." hey I know we haven't really talked in a while, but I wanted to know if you wanted to come to my party that I'm having on Friday" I look at her with a smile and say "sure I would love to come."

 I walk back to class and after a while, the bell rung. I grab my bag and walk out of the room. I put in the combination to my locker and put my books in my bag and walk toward the doors then l hear Carman yelling my name."V! Don't leave without me!" I turn to see her pushing and shoving People out of her way to get to me. Carman I'd like me exempt, a little more out there than I am. I stand in the middle of the loud, crowded hallway to wait for her to catch up with me so she can stop yelling like a crazy person. she runs up to me and smiles, I give her a smile back then I looked down at her outfit.

 she had a black and white fall out boy shirt on, with some saggy old sweat pants on with her hair pulled up into a messy bun. "what are you wearing I didn't know it was bedtime yet." I say joke fully and she looks at my outfit. "like you did any better than me" she says as we walk out of the tall school building. I was wearing a black twenty-one pilots shirt with black ripped skinny jeans with two messy french braids in my hair. we walked down the steps and people were staring at us like we had two heads.

 a girl that has never talked to me walked up to me and asked,"did Jenny invite you to her party on Friday, cause I thought you guys weren't friends." I look at her with the worst confused face, I think I scared her. "Yeah, how did you find out so fast she just asked me before the bell rung." she didn't even listen to what I said she just walked away to the posse of popular kids in high school.

 Carman got very excited when she heard I got invited." you're taking me right??!!" I give her a look to tell her she's stupid for even asking. "are you guys, like friends again?" I sit down on the grass next to her in front of the school as we are waiting to get picked up. I look down at my old black and white converse and say,"I don't know, I..." I see a pair of new shoes in front of me. 

I look up to see Dakota Smith standing in front of me. Dakota is one of the cool football players all of the girls like, expressly Carman but she likes a lot of guys. we stand up because we don't really get talked to by people like Dakota." hey, Vivian right, I heard you're going to Jenny's party tomorrow" I look up at his face to see his light blue eyes are focused on my dark brown eyes. "yeah, um, are you going?" I say it like I'm talking to my mom's boyfriend, so awkward. he seems not to care about how I'm acting he's just looking into my eyes.

 he says with a smile "yeah, I wanted to know if you wanted to come with me, you know hang out with me?" he's blushing and I seem to feel heat rush up my cheeks. "sure, ill see you there" I say with Carman next to me with the biggest smile on her face.he walks away and I watch him as he meets up with his football friends, looking at me with hope in his eyes.

my mom pulls up to the school and me and Carman gets in the car. I look at my mom without saying a word. my mom hasn't told me she loves me since my little brother Charlie dies in a car accident. we've never really talked either, she's always at work.

I look down at my phone to look at the wallpaper of me and Carman doing silly faces with Charlie in the middle of us laughing. I smile at the sight of my twelve-year-old brothers smile and I smile back at the photo as if he's sitting in the car with us. I look up to see were at Carman's already and say my goodbyes. she smiles a big smile, me knowing because of the party thats coming up and how she cant wait to be part of the in croud.
