Unexpected Love

CHAPTER 1

Ritsu knew that this day would come. He knew that one day his life would end up just like he predicted.  Stuck in a dead-end job, living in a run-down apartment, alone. “How did my life end up like this” Ritsu would think this same thing every morning, and every morning  he  would come up with the same answer.

Angelia was the reason Ritsu was stuck in this life, it was all her doing. If he just listened to his parents and not run off with her when he was only 18, then none of this would be happening  4 years later.

Ritsu yawned and rolled over looking at the small alarm clock he had sitting facing his bed.  6. 30 Am. He still had just over an hour before work, so he rolled over onto his back and stared up at his celling. It was a pretty filthy celling, he suspected the previous tenant had tried at one point to throw some kind of food up there, which left all kinds of stains he didn’t like to think about. It was no surprise what kind of state the apartment was in, considering the neighbourhood. With the kind of money he was earning there was no way he  could afford something too outstanding. The place he was in now was only a small, one bedroom apartment, above a local restaurant.  The wallpaper looked like something out of the 80’s, and he didn’t know what was up with all the weird and funky furniture it came with. Some of the things he found he never knew existed, until recently. But he never complained because he knew he was lucky to find a place fully furnished at a low price. With a heavy Sign he pushed himself up out of bed, he knew that laying around all morning feeling sorry for himslef wasn't going to get him anywhere.

After finding his work uniform tossed over a chair and getting dressed he walked into the next room also known as the kitchen. It wasn't very big, just a small bar fridge in the corner, a tiny stove top to cook on and a small cupboard to store all his kitchen wear. It wasn't much but it was enough for him to get by in life and after everything that happened recently he was pleased with the simplicity of things. After finishing breakfast he cleans up and decides to head early to work, it was only a 20 min walk from his place but the walk was a better way to take his mind off things instead of sitting around sulking all morning.

Locking the door and shoving his keys in his pocket, Ritsu headed up the street passing the local shops. The restaurant he lived above was located in small business area next to a small residential block. It only had 2 takeaway shops, a book shop, doctor surgery and a supermarket but it was enough for the people to enjoy life.

" Hey there Ritsu, off to work again today"

Ritsu turned his head to see Mrs Wilson walking her dog. She was out almost every morning he went to work so he was used to the same question.

" Hi, yeah another day of work"

She smiled and gave him a wave as she continued on her walk, they have been having the same little convo for a few months now so he just smiled and continued on towards work. It didn't take long before he arrived, time always flew while he was walking and he always ended up places before even realized where he was going. The shop he worked at was a small convenience store which sold the basic necessities, smokes and alcohol, it wasn't much of a job but it paid his low rent and got him outta the house at times. As he headed towards the entrance he  noticed his boss Gru talking to a young guy who looked about 22 years old. Compared to himself this guy was a mountain, he had jet black hair that grew to his shoulders and his build was twice the size of his. Ritsu was a small built guy with brown eyes and red/Brown hair, he considered himself in ok shape but looking at this other guy made him feel inferior in size. Ritsu watched with steady eyes as his boss noticed him a mentioned for the other guy to turn around and introduce himself.

At that very moment Ritsu froze as he gazed into the deep blue eyes of this guy standing before him. His whole body tingled as his mind swirled with thoughts.

Who was this man..

Why is my body tensing up...

Those eyes...

...... Why can't I look away from them....  

" Hi my name is Shayne it's a pleasure to meet you"
