I was sweeping the events center when on the wall I spotted a small black shape. What a strange beetle, I thought. I looked closer, It does have six legs right? Yep... Mandibles, three body sections, is this an ant? It's huge! and on it's own, strange. Wait, you don't think... No, it can't be a queen indoors... After a bit I decided it was indeed a queen ant, I tried to encourage it back down the wall as I was unsure of what to do but perhaps let it go outside? I accidentally nudged her and she fell below the table. I moved one of the boxes out of the way and found her clinging to the wall in the darkness. I replaced the box and went on with my day pondering what to do...
about six hours later I had decided to capture her, I grabbed a take home container and lid for salad dressing and asked if I could go check for my sunglasses, I also took over a couple of plates but that's not important. I ran back to where I left her and she was still there I got her into the cup and ran her back to my car. At around eight that night I finished working and headed home leaving the queen out in the garage where she would stay warm and dark...
