I had ranted on twitter but I feel the need to talk about it here too

Look if you have a friend who is known to self-harm and you know they're going through a hard time PLEASE do not leave them alone No matter how annoying they think you may be they can not just be left alone. They need to know someone is there willing to fight to stay By their side. No matter how much they claim they want to be left alone, they shouldn't be. Not when they're hurting that much You should never give up so easily, especially when they aren't in a good state. Fight for their safety when they don't care about it.

I only feel the need to say this bc last night before leaving one of my friends I knew something wasn't right, it didn't feel right leaving him alone but yet he insisted he was just going home to sleep. That wasn't the case, the second I found out something was wrong though and I stayed on the phone with him even though he kept saying he just wanted to be left alone. And you know what? When all was said and done even though he kept saying he needed to be left alone before he finally went to sleep he thanked me for being there for him when no one else was and that is SO important.

So pls just keep that in mind the next time your friend is feeling down
