Next day, I struggled a little to wake up based on the fact, I stayed up late, to finish City of Bones. But believe me when I say it worth it. We dressed up in silence part because she was tired as I was and we were still mad with each other. Today I chose a denim short and a simple t-shirt.
We left together and as we were still on the corridor we heard the bell ringing
-Shit. I swore under my breath and start walking faster leaving Cassie behind since either way we were gonna part ways.
Today my first class, was Literature and I had no freaking clue about who I was going to be with. When I reached the classroom through, the door was closed. Taking a deep breath I opened it.
-Sorry. I muttered to our teacher, a woman this time no more than 35. She smiled kindly to me.
-It’s okay but don’t get used to it. I’m Mrs. Carla by the way. I returned the smile and turned to scan the room for an empty seat.
And I found one. Just in front of Gabriel’s seat, beside Vincent.
He smiled to me as I took the seat, his vivid blue eyes fixed on mine.
-We haven’t met properly. I’m Vincent. He told me offering me his hand. His voice was low with a British accent. And men I loved British accents since Chuck Bass form Gossip Girl. I took his hand in me and shook it smiling
-Monica. I replied drawing my hand back
-You wont say good morning to me? I turned since he wouldn’t stop poking my with his pen, rolling my eyes.
-I am not talking to you. I told him and Gabriel made a face like he was offended but we both knew he wasn’t
-Coming to the bonfire on Friday? He asked me
-Bonfire? I arch my brow
-Yep. Big fire by the sea at night, girls like you with hot bikinis and shorts, truth or dare games and some more games may I add and you now.. Say goodbye to the summer. He winked at me
-I don’t think so. I replied firmly and turn again my attention on Mrs. Clara
-Why don’t you come? Vincent asked. I shrugged
-Oh come on. We’re gonna have fun, everyone’s going. He tried again. What was with guys at college or to be specific in that college? Guys were never really giving me attention, that was Cassie and now first Gabriel then Keith and now Vincent? That must be a record
-I wanna get to know you better. He said this time, a genuine smile on his full lips
-Oh for God’s sakes. Gabriel groaned behind me. Hm. So he wasn’t a fan of Vincent either, like Keith. So what if… He wanted me to fell for him or something right? Well let’s see how pissed he ould be after that
-You know what? I might come. I said to Vincent and I saw with the corner of my eye Gabriel’s lips forming an ‘’O’’.
-You better come. We’re gonna have so much fun. Vincent promise me, smirking and after I return the smirk –yes you heard me, I smirked at him- I turn my attention back to our teacher.
By the moment the hour ended, I said goodbye to Vincent, promising to make it to the bonfire, but as I was about to head to the cafeteria Gabriel grabbed my hand and pulled me back
-You don’t wanna be friends with him Monica trust me. He told me in a warning tone. I tired to pulled back my wrist but he didn’t let me
-Why? Because you clearly don’t like the guy? It’s my choice whenever to hang out with him or not. I tried again but instead of loosing his grib, it tightened
