Around here in these small towns there usually isn’t much going on so eventually people get bored. They need things to talk about so they tell stories. They tell stories about bad ideas and about the time uncle bill got drunk and tried to jump his old truck over the river. But the best stories are the ones meant to scare little kids. Like the one eyed bear that can’t die. But the most famous of all the scary stories is about an old farm thirty miles from town and the man that lives there. They say he never that old house unless someone walks onto his land. When they do they don’t leave. Dozens of people have gone to look for him and try to be the one that takes him down.  They say the farm is haunted, that it helps him. Nobody knows his name or how old he is they just know he’s there. He just wants to be left alone, but every once in a while someone tries to test him and his farm but he always wins.

“So what do you think?” Brian asked.

“What do I think about what?” Eric responded.

“You know about the stories. About that guy on that old farm outside of town.” Said Brian.

“Ha-ha you don’t believe that stuff do you?” Eric chuckled.

“Well I don’t know. I was thinking we should get the girls and go check it out for ourselves.”

After a confident reply from Eric the two boys agreed on a meeting place and parted ways for the night. The next morning the two boys met in the parking lot of the local convenience store. They decided to only take brains truck as his was newer and more comfortable. There was only four of them going so they only needed one vehicle. They had told the girls to meet them at the west side liquor store.  The first girl to arrive was magy. She was tall and thin and had long dark hair. She was very well off, the real princess type. Her dad owned the mill so she wasn’t much for getting her hands dirty. Shortky after Brittney showed up. She was pretty much the opposite of magy. She wore old clothes and cursed a lot. She was the tom boy type.  After they finished talking about how theyre summers were going they loaded into brains truck and headed for the old farm. After about an hour driving down the highway they saw the turnoff that was supposed to take them to the farm.  As they headed down the old gravel road magy started complaining about how long it was taking. The group grew increasingly more nervous. They started to wonder if the farm even existed, as they had been driving down the gravel road for well over thirty minutes. But as they turned a sharp corner they saw a gate with a lock on it and a “no trespassing” sign on it. Brian stopped the truck a few feet from it and got out. “where are you going, aren’t we going back” magy asked nervously. Brian replied with a grunt and continued to the box of the truck, where he grabbed a pair of hedge cutters. As he walked past the back seat where magy was sitting he clipped them twice in front of her window. He snapped the lock and got back in the truck. He pulled forward slowly and pushed the gate open. They continued down the road and in about five minutes the farm finally came into view. Brian pulled up and stopped in front of the house. “lets go check it out.”
