What Lies Within A Kingdom

Chapter Five

Kaira's Dream.

Kaira is still asleep in her bed, she hears chirping of birds. She wakes up . She's dressed in a pink and blue Kimono and in her room.

She realises this and runs out of her room down to the path that leads you to the king and queens chambers. Just as Kaira was about to open the door.

"Kaira?"

She turns around and sees her mother standing there in her golden robes she wore before Kaira left. Her father standing next to her, both wearing the cloths they wore the day she left, Kaira runs over to her parents and hugs them. Tears fill her eyes."I missed you guys."

"Kaira, we not here. "

"What do you mean you're not here.?"

"Open your eyes and you'll see."

Kaira let her parents go and suddenly they burned and vanished. Kaira is now surrounded by flames, she sees this and starts to run. She ends up running for ever and ever. As she's running she sees her parents waiting for her on the other side as if they are telling her to hurry. Kaira sees this and starts to run even faster but, no matter what she does or tries she can't seem to get to her parents.

They kept on go further and further away from her. "Mother, father."she tries to shout out their names but no sound comes out of her mouth. Suddenly she sees a shadow appear behind them with a sword in his hands. They don't seem to notice that he is there. Kaira tries to shout and scream to let them turn around, but nothing comes out of her mouth she tries even harder to run faster and faster,but no matter what she tries they still get away from her.

The shadow gets closer and closer to them until suddenly kills them. Kaira screams her eyes filling with tears, she then notice that her tears turns red. (What is happening?) She wipes a tear away and sees that it  is blood and not tears. Suddenly hands grapes her ankles, she tries to get loose but their grip gets tighter and tighter. Suddenly she is pulled to the ground and instead of falling to the ground she falls into water.

Kaira is now in the water and the hands had vanished. She tries to swim up for air, but the same thing happens the top of the water just goes further and further away from her. Kaira can't take it anymore her breath she is loosing it and can't keep it anymore. Till she passes out.

She then appear in mud, Kaira coughs the water out in relieve when she could breath again. Suddenly she is in chains and the chains makes her lie on her back. She starts to scream and this time you can hear her. The chains starts to stretch her as if it wants to pull her body apart. "Help me somebody please."

"Yes, scream little girl fill our hunger with your screams."a woman says.

Kaira is suddenly surrounded by shadows and their about to eat her. There is people in her dream laughing at her laughing because she is scared, crying and heart broken. "No, please. Please."

"What is this.?"a shadow says looking at Kaira's neckless and pulls it from her neck. "No, give it back. It is all i have left please."

"Really, all you have left? Mmm, then i should keep it for myself."

"NO!!!" She screamed out and suddenly pink flames shot out of her body killing every shadow around her.

With the flames still surrounding her . Kaira does not realise for she is scared to look up scared to see what her next dream will be like. "Kaira."a strong but gentle voice said.

"No, go away. Please, I can't take it no more."

"Open your eyes Kaira. You don't have to be afraid any more."

Kaira decides to open her eyes and finds herself in a dark place floating. She hears a drop of water and suddenly a bright light appeared in front of her. Kaira covers her eyes since the light is to bright. She feels the light is no longer that bright and opens her eyes. It was Ling the dragon her father showed her.

"Ling, is it really you?"

"Yes, little princess. It is indeed me. Why are you running?"

"From the fire and shadows."

"No, why are you running away from the truth?"

"Because, I'm scared. I have no one left anymore. My parents..."

"They're still alive and well."

"But, then why are you here. Father said that the kingdom would reveal itself only if ..."

"He dies yes, I know that. But, the kingdom is still there and your magic is far more stronger then we could ever imagine."

"Magic?"

"Yes, your father has told you of your magic and those pink flames that you saw are part of your magic."

"What am i to do?"

"Right now, you going to have to live with the Yamanaka clan. And trust them a specially Nyx, I have looked into his heart and your future. There is no better king then Nyx, all you have to do is trust him. I know it will be hard but, he will be there for you."

"Yes, but he doesn't seem to enjoy the arrange marriage."

"The same for you, Nyx knows that it is his duty. Nyx has bad memories himself and that is how he can relate to you, but you have to allow him to get close to you and he should allow you to help him. "

"Ling, please take care of my parents ."

"I will do my best, but it all depends on the gods. I am just their messenger and guard. Oh and one last thing." Ling then closed his eyes and chant something that made Kaira's neckless appear on her neck. Kaira held onto the neckless promising to never let anyone take the neckless away. She then thanked Ling by giving him a hug. "Take care, Kaira and remember you have all the help you need already, you just have to believe."

Ling disappeared and Kaira dream changed back to her being in the room she is in now. She slides back into her bed and closes her eyes. And let herself fall asleep one last time.
