What Lies Within A Kingdom

Chapter Eleven

The next day Kaira woke up with the smell of egg and bacon. She smiles thinking of what had happened last night, she then felt a pain between her legs. Kaira then covered her self with the blankets, while she slide out of bed with the blankets still around her body and went over to the bathroom to go and freshen up.

"Morning." Nyx said to Kaira, sensing her looking at him with a sparkle in her eyes. He was dressed in his samurai robes and off to work. "Do you have to go?" Kaira asked.

"Why, didn't you get enough last night?"

"I did, but I thought since they won't be back soon, can't we go and watch the stars."

"And who will be taking care of the village and the students?"

"They'll manage I'm sure of it."

Nyx smiles knowing his wife really didn't want him to go, but he must since he was the future leader of the Yamanaka clan. He then went over to Kaira and gave her a kiss on her forehead. "I'm sorry Kaira, but it is my job."

"I know."

"I love you."

"And I love you too." Nyx then lift her chin and gave her another kiss but on her lips this time. He then went over to the door and left to go to the training ground.

Just as he left Kaira began with the usual, clean the house and begin making something for lunch for when Nyx came back. Just like how Nyraxa would make lunch for Haru and she for Nyx.

After she was done cleaning, she looked at the time and saw that there was still time before Nyx came back for lunch. She then went over to the backyard and watered the plants. And while she was doing so she thought about Meira and suddenly her neckless began to glow and it revealed her parents.

"Mother, Father?"

"There isn't much time, you have to go back. NOW." Kai said and vanished.

"Kaira, hey Kaira are you alright?" Nyx asked her. She slowly opened her eyes "What, what happened?"

"I was going to ask you that. I found you lying on the grass and mumbling something about going back."

"Back, going back? "She then remembered and quickly got up. "Nyx, we have to go back."

"To Zathana?"

"Yes, I saw my parents they said that there isn't enough time. So I'm guessing we should go and take my fathers kingdom back."

"Now, you're making no sense, you saw your parents here like right now. You sure that it wasn't a dream?"

"Uge, I cant explain now. Please we need to go back. NOW."

With that the two got onto their horses and rode over to Zathana. As the queen and king had told them to do.

"What has he done?" Kaira asked when they had finally arrived at Zathana. The place was terrible, where there use to be riches and everyone having homes and never hungry. Was only dust, the place was deserted, families was hungry and some children was dying. The kingdom had crumbled.

Kaira then saw lights and fireworks at the palace and was furious, her uncle was busy having a ball while the people of Zathana was dying. She then rushed over with the horse to the palace. When she got there she barged into the palace.

"Zaire, brother of Kai Senshi. I wish to speak with you."

The music stopped and Zaire didn't care since he was enjoying the company of slave women sitting around him. He wore a red and black royal robe and his hair was tide up. Kaira saw him sitting on the throne her father sat on, treating his servants like they were family and not just toys. She walked over to him and stood right in front of his thrones stairs. "What, what is this. Who is this woman?" Zaire asked in a rude manner.

No one was able to answer him. Nyx stood behind Kaira for if someone wanted to attack her he would see it and protect her. "Who are you?"

Kaira did not answer and just looked at him with a look that showed nothing more then hate it self.

"I asked you a question and I demand a answer."

"What is this, you don't recognise your own flesh and blood?"

Zaire then realised just who she was and could not believe what he was seeing. She wore a Samurai robe, her hair loose and had her very own Kitana. "Yes, uncle. I'm still alive and I wish to speak with you."

Zaire then send everyone that was there home except for Nyx for she told him that he was with her. Just as Zaire closed his door, Kaira pointed her Kitana blade at his throat. "Move."she says leading him to his chair.

"Kaira, let me explain."

"Shut up, I don't want to hear any lies coming from your mouth."

"But..."

"I said Shut up!"

Nyx standing there not knowing what Kaira was thinking, was she planning on killing him. If that was what she was thinking he knew that he was going go have to stop her. "Kaira?"he tried getting threw her.

"I wont kill him, he doesn't deserve that, he deserves something way worse then death."

Zaire tries to get a dagger off of his table,but Kaira saw him and stabbed his hand with her Kitana. He screamed of pain,but no one could hear him since this room had thick walls and doors. "Oh, did I hurt you?"

Zaire stared at her with fear.

"Was that the same look they gave you, before you killed them?"

No answer came from him.

"Answer me."

"I didn't kill them."

"You lie!"she says and pushes the blade deeper into his hand.

"It is the truth, I swear."

"Stop lying to me. Tell me why should I believe anything you say. You take over my father's kingdom. Take innocent children and make them your slaves while choosing who should die, oh and that trick you pulled, I didn't like it."

"What are you talking about Kaira?"

"Oh, don't play dump, I know it was you. Why wouldn't it be."

"Because , I'm telling you the truth. Unless... no, but she died we killed her."

"What are you talking about?"

"Your father and I, we killed her."

"Killed who?"

"Your mothers sister, she was a witch just like your mother. We killed her because she tried to kill you."

"This makes no sense, how does she know where I am?"

"Reilene?" Nyx said from behind them. "We haven't heard from Reilene, she said that she was going to go on a mission and wasn't coming back."

"No, it cant be. Zaire, what ability does my Aunt have?"

"The ability to change her appearance."

"Meira.!" Nyx and Kaira said together. They then jumped out of the balcony and rode with their horses to a place they knew where May-may and them would be because that was the place where Meira said she would like to go.

So the two rode on hoping an praying that that were wrong of Meira being her aunt and if it was her . Prayed that they were not to late.  And her uncle saying he didn't kill her parents, then who did or were they even dead all Kaira knew was that she was far away from discovering the truth.
