What Lies Within A Kingdom

Chapter Thirteen

Meanwhile at a village called Swandra. Meira was standing on a rock with her hair loose allowing her hair to follow the wind. She wore a light and dark blue Kimono. They were at sea, since Swandra was build close to the sea. Meira enjoyed the view, the water of the sea hitting against the rock. "Meira, come inside it is getting late." May-may yelled from the back.

"Coming!"she said and ran to May-may. Meira liked her new family even if she didn't know them very well. To her it felt like forever. Meira got to the wooden house that they lived in for the week and smelled noodles. She went over to their small Japanese table and sat there. She sat next to May-may and across of them sat Nyraxa and Haru. They gave thanks to their food and began to eat with their chopsticks .

After eating Meira got up and took everyone's plates to the kitchen. Suddenly she saw a vision of fire and war. Meira began to struggle to breath when she saw something she wish she never saw. Kaira was lying on the ground and looked like she was dying with Nyx holding her crying. The vision ended and she bust into tears as she went down on her knees. "Meira, are you alright?" May-may ask when she saw Meira crying.

"Yes, I'm fine. I just thought of something bad."she said not wanting to worry May-may and the rest of the family. Since she herself wasn't sure if it was true or not. She then got up and said that she felt tired, she then went to her room that was in the hallway, since this house didn't have stairs like May-may and them.

When Meira got to her room, she suddenly felt dizzy, she closed her door , went over to her bed and collapsed. She then had the same vision she had in the kitchen, just this time she saw a woman she had never seen. This woman had dark blond hair, green eyes, she was a witch since she was first king Zaire then turned into this mysterious woman. The woman looked at her and walked over to her. "You must be Meira?"

"And who are you?"

"What does it matter, all that matters is that you're mine."she then pushed her hand into Meira's  body and pulled her soul out.

"Now, this is what you going to have to do."

Back downstairs, May-may still felt like something was wrong. She then went over to Meira's room, when she opened the door a woman was standing at Meira's bed, doing something that looked like she was casting a spell. May-may then quickly summoned red flames that formed a whip and was about to hit the woman , when the woman blocked her attack with her hand. "Magic like that wont be able to even put a scratch on me."she said and pulled May-may close to her.

She grabbed May-may by her troat and lift her up. She then began to chant spells in a langue May-may had heard of it was the first witch langue. Just as May-may was about to collapse, Meira had gotten out of the spell and pushed a dagger into the woman's back. "Be gone witch."and forced it out. The woman screamed and vanished.

"May-may, are you alright?"

"Stay away from her!"Kaira said, she and Nyx had just arrived. Nyx went over to May-may and helped her up. "Are you alright?" Nyx asked his sister.

"I'm fine."

"Who are you really?" Kaira asked Meira still standing there, with the dagger in her hand. Meira then threw the dagger far away from her reach. "What are you talking about, I told you that I don't remember..."

"Nonsense, don't let me ask you again."

May-may then quickly stood up and ran i, front of Meira to protect her. "No, no, it is not what you think?"she said to Kaira and Nyx.

"May-may, move away from her. She isn't who we think she is, she is a shape shifter."

"What?"

Kaira then told May-may of what they had find out of her aunt she never knew of and what the king had said.

"Well, Meira isn't her. In fact she saved me."

"Saved you?"

"Yes, there was a woman here in her room. I dont know what she was doing but, I think that she was casting a spell on Meira. "

Kaira and Nyx decided to trust May-may since everything she told them made sense. Just then Nyraxa and Haru came running i,to the room, wandering what was going on. And so they were told everything of what Kaira them knew and May-may.

Kaira went over to Meira and hugged her. "I'm so sorry, Meira. Are you hurt?"

"No."she said and hugged Kaira back.

The family then went back to the dining room. Kaira was about to leave when Meira said that she needed to speak with her. So they went to the dining room, while Kaira stayed at Meira. "What is it?" Kaira said and went to sit next to Meira o, her bed.

"I had a vision, but I'm not sure if it was real or not."

"What was it about?"

Meira then told Kaira of her dying and Nyx crying while holdig her in his arms. She then told her of the war she saw that was going on between the Yamanaka and Zathana kingdom, being led by king Zaire and last how the king transformed into the woman May-may had described. All of this made Kaira realised that her aunt was the king and that she didn't kill her when she had the chance. Kaira the, cried thinking if May-may had not stopped her, she would have killed Meira that had nothing to do with anything. She then hugged Meira and wept.

After a while she had left the room, after putting Meira to sleep. She then went over to her family and told them what Meira had told her. "I just knew there was something wrong with Meira." May-may said.

"Are you alright?" Nyraxa asked her daughter in law.

"Not, really. Everything is confusing, I don't know what to believe anymore."

"Believe in your family." Haru said. "Kaira, you and Nyx are married now and had taken Meira as your own. You may not know it but, Meira loves you guys with all her heart and if what she said was true off you dying and war coming. We should go home, because your safety and my clan safety must come first."

"I agree, but can we first call this a actual night. So that we can have our strengths." Nyx said.

"Of cause."

May-may then realised that Kaira had a bite mark on her shoulder, since her robe was falling a little. She giggled knowing what the two had been up to and decided to bother them about it later or tomorrow during the day. So everyone went to their rooms, Kaira and Nyx went to their room after checking up on Meira. They then slide into bed, Nyx wrapped his arms around her waist and the two fell asleep.
