I hear voice shouting and try to get up but I can't. Strong arms pick me up and everything goes white.

Mare's POV
The room is dark, only a single chandler is lighting it. It looks like some sort of ballroom, in the most extravagant palace ever. There's tables set up with food and drinks. There's instruments set up in the corner, waiting to be played by musicians. It looks like there's going to be a party. There's only one problem. There's no people.
I realize I'm sitting on the floor, my gown fanning out below me. It's deep red and made of the finest material I've ever seen. My dark hair is in curls over my shoulder. I get up from the ground and a suddenly get a massive headache which forces me back down. That's when I see her.
Her white blonde hair is hard to mistake and she's in navy blue like always. Elara. She comes in quiet as a mouse but talks with the venom of a snake. "You've ruined everything! And you won't get away with it little lighting girl because when I'm back I'll be stronger than ever,"
That's the last thing I hear before I jolt awake. I sit up but I immediately regret it because I get a massive headache. It looks like
I'm in a room in the palace. But that's impossible because I'm  dead. But it doesn't feel like I'm dead. The last thing I remember is feeling Elara's awful power strumming into me, making me feel the worst pain I ever felt.
After minutes of staring up at the ceiling wondering what's going on a maid walks in. I look over at her and she looks at me with relief.
"My lady! You're awake," She rushes over to me, "Are you alright?" she asks.
"Yes, I think so. What's going on?" I say back.
"You'll find out soon enough but you should
probably go eat now. Come, I'll take you to the dining hall," she says helping me up. She then looks at what I'm wearing and says with sympathy,
"We should probably get you some new clothes," She gives me some back pants, a white blouse, and shiny black boots which I change into great fully, leaving my tattered dress from the ball on the floor, which I now see has some blood stains.
I want to know what's going on but I wouldn't even know where to start and I'm so hungry, food is the only thing I can think about as the maid takes me to the dining hall. I'm almost positive we are in Whitefire because I recognize some of the hallways. It doesn't look like there has just been an attack  here as everything seems normal.
I walk into the dining hall. It has one long table and there's only one person sitting there.
"Kilorn!" I yell as I run towards him giving him a hug,
"Oh Kilorn, I'm so sorry I just ran off at the ball without telling you! I'm didn't know what I was thinking-"
He cuts me off with a chuckle. "Don't worry I believe you, it was just probably one of your stupid plans again," he says playfully while rolling his eyes. I nudge him in the shoulder, happy that he's not mad.
Though my happiness fades when I remember what's going on. "So are you going to be the one that explains to me what's going on?"
He took a deep breath and told me what happened, "When Elara started attacking you, you fell unconscious which is why you didn't remember anything. Me and the other Scarlet Guard people suspected something was going on when Farley started changing all the plans for the attack and than ran off without another word so after a few minutes of fighting, we halted the attack. When the king found out Cal was missing, Maven told him how you went into that room, and the king got a bunch of silvers in there to help save him,"
"Is Elara dead?" I say right after he finishes. He looks at me with a sad look and says,
"No her power is so strong she still got away, even with all those silvers there. Now they don't know where she is but they got security at every door,"
"That's not good enough!" I yell not meaning to.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-" I say in a softer tone.
"I know," he says.
"Wait, why are we still here. We should be back home," I say.
"I'll be going home tonight," he replied.
"You mean we're going home tonight," I say back.
He looked at me sadly and said that we should sit down to eat . I'm too hungry to fight him on it. I should have known they wouldn't let me go back home. I am Mareena Titaions when I'm in the silver world and I bet a bunch of people from the high houses have already seen me. The king has probably already come up with another lie to why I'm alive.
A maid comes in a little while later and tells me that I'm excepted in the throne room after I eat to go talk to the king. I sigh and bid Kilorn goodbye. I'll see him again before he goes tonight thankfully.
A maid says she'll help show me the throne room but I decline her invitation because I already know where it is myself and because I had to make one tiny stop before I get there.
I walk down the magnificent hallways and finally stop at Cal's door. I knock, half hoping he's in his room, half hoping he's not. I mean what am I suppose to say to him. He opens the door looking surprised to see me, then relieved and he invites me in. I walk and turn to look at him. That's when I take in how the looks. His arms are covered in bandages and he has little cuts all over his face.
"Cal," I say going up to touch one of the cuts,"Are you okay,"
He takes his hands in mine and says, "I should be asking you that," We go over to sit on the window seat and we talk about what happened last night.
"It's like she's always in my head," I say "I can't get rid of the words she said to me,"
Cal takes my face in his hands and says, "Mare, she's gone now. You're safe."
Elara might be missing but she's left behind a mess in me that will never go away. She for sure has got me haunted.
